Staying true to the objective of making reading available for everyone and to fight illiteracy, especially in rural areas, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, Red Readerhood (RRH) works alongside local beneficiaries. This year, RRH would be collaborating with Friends to Mankind, an international non-profit organisation. All donated books will be collected for their project, The Book Effect which aims to collect 10,000 books to build libraries for various orphanages and refugee schools across Klang Valley. To kick-start the initiative, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be pledging 1,000 books and visitors can purchase and donate books towards this worthy cause during the 11-day Sale at the designated Red Readerhood corner.
“As a home-grown reading advocacy organisation, we have demonstrated our
confidence in the local market as well as other countries that we have visited.
We are leaving positive footprints wherever we go and we hope to continue doing
so in future. Coming this far would not have been possible without the
tremendous support and loyalty from our customers and we want to thank each and
every one of you for making us who we are today,” said Andrew Yap, Co- Founder
of Big Bad Wolf Books.
