#PakaiTanganJer Seafood Feast Family Dining At Ombak Kitchen!

Pakai tangan jer! This is the tagline for Ombak Kitchen. Mouse mommy’s family and friends dining together at Ombak Kitchen located at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

Once we walk-in, we are welcome by the energetic and friendly staffs.

There are 5 signature cooking style to cook the seafood, Ombak ‘CRAZY’ Cajun Sauce, Dark Chili Chocolate Sauce, Creamy Tom Yam Sauce that in spicy type.

While another 2 slight or non-spicy sauces is Cheesy Zesty Lemon Sauce and Buttermilk Sauce that cater for children or non-spicy lovers.

We had ordered for must-try Ombak ‘CRAZY’ Cajun Sauce, Cheesy Zesty Lemon Sauce and Buttermilk Sauce seafood cooking style for our dinner.

The fresh seafood served in large portion with EXTRA-LARGE size prawn and JAPAN imported clamsThe combo 2 set that we ordered consists of 300g crawfish baby lobster, 250g Extra Large prawn, 200g mussel, 250g Hamaguri clams, 200g squid, 300g broccoli, 2 sets of potato, 3 pieces of corn and served with 2 bowls of rice.

A healthy and balance nutritious dinner for the entire family members.

Yes! Start to feast our seafood! Each mouthful is so juicy and fully coated with the signature sauces! Mouse mommy and kids love it.

At Ombak Kitchen, there is no wok-fried or deep fried seafood; all is using boiling or steaming seafood cooking style. No wonder… the seafood was so juicy and chewy. Most important is fresh!

MH also grab a corn and enjoy the meal by himself. My little MH was never saw such ‘big size’ prawn and he is scared of it! Hahaah… so cute of little MH! Look at this video.

Love the 3 cooking sauces that we had ordered, which is Ombak ‘CRAZY’ Cajun Sauce, Cheezy Zesty Lemon Sauce and Buttermilk Sauce. The sauces are cooked using pure butter, not cooking oil to enhance flavor and taste of the food.

Just nice to eat together with the high quality fragrance rice as our gathering dinner. Yummy! We had extra ordered fragrance rice too to feast.

A nice place to have family and friends gathering! Laugh, chit-chatting, sharing food together bring us closer to each and others!

For spice adventurer, Ombak ‘CRAZY’ Cajun Sauce would be your choice! That is mouse papa’s favourite cooking style with strong spice and spicy!

As for young kids, MR and MH like the Buttermilk sauce of squid and corn. Self served, 'makan pakai tangan jer'

Mouse mommy especially loves the superb juicy squid and the fresh Hamaguri Clams. Perfect match with the sauces and yum with plain rice. The milk bubbles tea also taste nice!

Besides coffee-based beverages, Ombak Kitchen also has bubble tea and all sorts of Mocktails. The best seller beverages is Chocolate Mudslide, Matcha Latte, Signature Milk Tea and Strawberry Mojito.

Of course, Chocolate Mudslide is a must order drink for MR and MH. They love it so much! Fresh fruit juice also is available.

Last but not least, Ombak Kitchen also served a sweet and lovely rainbow dessert for all the guests. The waitress is so lovely to draw a rainbow and served some marshmallow, sweets and fruits as dessert.

#MouseMommyTreats checked-in here at Ombak Kitchen! MR and MH ‘pantang’ see the marshmallows and fruits and wanted to grab and eat!

They are also become little artist to draw on the dessert sheet too. Children are always creative in all ways.

A sweet and satisfy seafood dining experience with family and friends! 3 words to describe Ombak Kitchen seafood: Juicy, Large, Delicious! More photos can click here to view

Wanna dine-in again with family to try out another 2 sauces cooking style seafood.

Brush Up On Kids’ Cooking Skill At KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s KidZ vs Food 3.0 This School Holidays!

Happy school holidays kids! Cooking is a skill to survive in life. Glad that KidZania’s CongreZZ kids cooked up a storm today as they prepared a banquet for the children of *Hilla Community Centre, marking the launch of KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s KidZ vs Food 3.0

This holiday programme from 24 November to 31 December is specially curated for kids, with daily and weekend activities that show children how to work with and appreciate food.

Now in its third year, the launch event treated children from the Centre to a meal of Turmeric Chicken and Long Beans served with rice, and Banana Chocolate Rolls for dessert, all prepared and served by CongreZZ kids with the help of professional chef ‘Abang’ Brian from the Young Chefs Academy (YCA). It is a fun hands on session with the Chefs!

“The ability to cook and feed ourselves, as well as others, builds confidence and gives us a sense of accomplishment - these are important lessons for children that can be applied to many situations. The teamwork exhibited by the CongreZZ kids to prepare this meal is an inspiring look at what it means to ‘Learn Life Today’, and demonstrates yet another learning experience, which is expressing kindness for those in need,” said Shahrul Nizar Ahmad, Mayor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur.

MR learns to cook and DIY Pizza with Mission Pita Bread at Mission establishment in KidZania. He cooks and enjoy eating of the pizza.

“Their efforts are a great example of what KidZ vs Food 3.0 has to offer; this year, we have lined up various cooking activities to give children a comprehensive range of learning experiences with food preparations,” he explained.

The KidZ vs Food 3.0 programme categories include the Pop Up Kitchen and Drink Station activities to guide kids through simple food and beverage recipes, while Food Science activities allow kids to ‘play’ with ingredients through experiments like Ice Fishing.

Meanwhile, Food Art gives children the chance to be creative and the Parent & Kid Cooking Workshops will feature a different family-friendly recipe each weekend, such as Cinnamon Rolls and Spinach & Cheese Pull Apart Bread.

KidZ vs Food 3.0 is proudly supported by Emborg, F&N, Kewpie Malaysia, MAMEE, Mission Foods, Malaysia Palm Oil Council, SHARP, Spritzer and Young Chefs Academy.
