Happy Malaysia Day! Sunway Putra Hotel, one of the leading hotels in Kuala Lumpur, has taken a step this time to make its exclusive facilities cater to children as well by organizing the first ever colouring competition that has taken place in the Hotel.
The celebration of Malaysia Day together was the theme of the colouring competition with the goal of wanting more children to visit the hotel and enjoy the ambiance of the hotel.

Malaysia Day
is one of the very auspicious days for Malaysians as this is when the country
got its name. For many years, the nation has been united and remained patriotic
to its country.
This patriotism should be carried forward by the coming
generation and through these small steps we are making an effort to educate
children on the importance of being united and keeping the harmony of this unique
and multiracial country preserved. Sunway Putra Hotel also wish to strengthen
the bonding among the children and their family members.
This colouring competition was open to children of 5 year olds up to 12 year olds and was themed "Anything and Everything on Malaysia", whereby children can opt to choose to colour pictures that appeal to them most; i.e 'Malaysia Local Fruits', 'Wau', and 'Nasi Lemak and Teh Tarik'.

competition is a mere idea to unite the families and educate the children about
our country Malaysia also to let them know Anything and Everything about
Malaysia. Together we can reminisce the unique things about our country that
makes us feel proud to be a part of”, says Mr Pathmanath, Director of Food
& Beverage, Sunway Putra Hotel.

Three of children were selected as the winners based on their creativity and neatness.
The winners were Lim Xiao Ern, 12 years old, Myiesha Binti Hamim, 6 years old and Tarini Hari Krisnan, 12 years old.
Each winner won prizes worth from MYR100 to MYR300.
They also had the chance to enjoy sand art activities, attractive balloon sculptures, mini playground and entertainment by a clown.
Kids were excited to play at the mini colourful indoor playground. There are slides, swing, books and TV educational show with soft mat.
Parents did not have to feel left out as one of the lucky parents won a chance to win a complimentary stay of 3 days and 2 nights in a luxurious 2-bedroom suite worth MYR4220 in a lucky draw for the parents.

Gombak won the luxurious stay in Sunway Putra Hotel.
