AMAZING SENIORS | THE CELEBRATION - LIFE BEGINS AT 50 - 2ND SENIORS FESTIVAL 2023

AMAZING SENIORS is delighted to announce that their 2nd Seniors Festival 2023 is set to take place for 3 consecutive days starting on 29th September (Friday) to 1st October (Sunday) 2023 at Atria Shopping Gallery.

The festival will kick off with an Opening Ceremony and Press Conference on 29th September at 10am. During the opening ceremony Amazing Seniors will be launching their “Timeless Inspiration Awards”. The award will recognise outstanding senior individuals for their various contributions of excellence in their respective fields.

The Timeless Inspiration Awards is about people who have created an impact on society and whose accomplishments have the potential to stand the test of time. The recipients of Amazing Seniors inaugural 2023 Timeless Inspiration Awards are: Datuk Mohd Nordin Mohd Khalid (Lat), Dato’ Khadijah Ibrahim, Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi, Ivy Josiah, Datin Paduka Sister Enda.

Amazing Seniors Festival is the only festival in South East Asia celebrating Malaysia’s older generation. For the second year running, Amazing Seniors has carefully planned and put together events, such as talks by experts packed with up-to-date information that is relevant and applicable to Malaysian seniors.

The experts will cover topics on investments, scams, retirement, wellbeing, and all things that can enhance our older community’s lives and lifestyle.

Amazing Seniors’s strategic partners for 2023 are Pacific Senior Living, Cagamas, Sunway Sanctuary, KL Wellness, Pure Med, Top Group, Pharm D, Curble and Beaconmart.

Many partners booths are there for visitors to explore and experiences their service and products.

Amazing Seniors also feature fun, enjoyable and inspiring performances by seniors because we believe that such activities bring meaning into our lives and to create long-lasting memories.

These activities include Malaysian seniors singing, dancing (traditional and modern), performing on musical instruments, taking part in fashion shows and much more.

“LIFE BEGINS AT 50: THE CELEBRATION is intended to celebrate the joys of growing older while simultaneously raise awareness about the role that older adults play in our society as we progress into an aged nation.

According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, as of the year 2020, adults aged 50 and above account for 21% of the country’s population and is expected to grow to 34% by 2040. Based on these findings, we feel the need for every Malaysian to recognize the key elements of successful ageing.

Malaysia can unlock a host of benefits for the nation by:

● Mitigating the economic effect of an ageing population by ensuring her people remain

productive through their old age.

● Expanding the consumer economy to provide the needs of older persons, some of whom will

have a greater propensity to spend.

● Creating a new economic driver for aged care and all its various adjacencies.”

Another event to be held during the festival will be the “Amazing Seniors Talent Quest,” which will take place nightly over the 3-day period. The Talent Quest was launched on 15th July 2023, attracting a total of 114 entries.

From the entries, 20 semi-finalists were shortlisted to perform live over the 3 nights of the Festival. Ten finalists will then compete in the grand final happening on Sunday, 1st October 2023 at 7.30pm.

Amazing Seniors has invited a distinguished panel of judges for the finals, which includes the renowned Dato’ Khadijah Ibrahim and the Queen of Comedy, Ms Joanne Kam. There will be a total of RM74,000 worth of prizes to be won during the Talent Quest.

The excitement stretches into the “Seniors Fair and Bazaar,“ that will take place on the 1st floor of the Atria Shopping Gallery Event Hall.

Festival-goers can shop for food, artcrafts, personal care, fashionable wear, and even enjoy some karaoke, with a chance to win amazing prizes worth RM300,000.

The Amazing Seniors Festival aims to be rated rank as a highly anticipated annual event. A destination for the older community to come together to rethink, reframe, and redefine aging.

Swiss Dream Circus Is Back To Kuala Lumpur For Adults And Kids !

Swiss Dream Circus was founded on the belief that this timeless cultural experience is worth preserving and sharing; passing it on to the next generation of dreamers. It is the biggest reward to see a full-house of bright-eyed children and adults alike enjoy the circus performance.

The circus is one of the oldest cultural assets around the globe. In Switzerland there are over 14 circus companies and a variety shows that traditionally travel through the country. For years, the Malaysian Royal London Circus was the only circus in the country.

From dawn to dusk, rehearsing until the show comes together into a harmonious unity.

Now the show can begin!

JEKA DEHTIAROV – UKRAINE – CYR WHEEL

The young artist hails from Ukraine and shines with his graceful Cyr Wheel act. He was awarded in Germany at the International Youth Circus Festival 2022 for his beautiful performance. He glides almost weightlessly across the stage with his ring and makes you forget how difficult it is to keep the balance while spinning the Cyr Wheel.

IGOR & TATIANA – RUSSIA – KNIFE THROWING AND ARROW ACT

Real life couple Tatiana & Igor like to do “dangerous things” together. Knife throwing is one of the oldest disciplines in circus. Today rarely seen. When playing with the knives, a precise throwing technique is required, which is mastered by Igor excellently. Igor also proves his skills with a crossbow, where the arrow never misses its target.

EXTREME LIGHTS – RUSSIA / UKRAINE – LED DANCER

This young dynamic dance team from Ukraine and Russia proves that there is no war in the circus. We are proud that these exceptional artists are using the summer break of the Swiss National Circus Knie to inspire the audience in Malaysia with their unique LED show with illuminated costumes.

RUSLAN ULUBAEV – RUSSIA – BIKE ACT He shows the audience there’s more you can do with a bicycle than just cycling every day. With amazing skill and precision he goes through the motion, performing various jumps and acts.

JANINE & FABIEN – SWITZERLAND - AERIAL STRAPS ACT

This Swiss Artist duo presents their awarded-winning aerial performance with full of emotions and passion. With effortless, graceful and mesmerizing performance, the audience quickly forgets how difficult their act is.

Janine was already on tour with her solo act with the world-famous Cirque du Soleil. Let yourself be enchanted by this lovely duo.

SASHA & VLAD – ICARIAN ACT

The Icarian games, a traditional circus discipline that you rarely see these days are being brought back to life with new twist and challenging disciplines. The human body becomes catapult and a catcher.

The artist is whirled through the air and balanced by his partner only using the strength of his feet. The two guys, shows a sophisticated and full of strength and choreographed act on incredible speed which will thrill spectators.

LEVAN – RUSSIA - LASERMAN & COMPANY

Ruslan Ulubaev’s “creative factory” resulted not only in the fantastic Extreme Light LED show, but also in the new performance by Levan and his team. Laser technology is cleverly combined with modern dance and allows the audience to immerse themselves into another world. Be thrilled and amazed!!

ANDRIY RUHYLO – UKRAINE – LADDER BALANCE / JUGGLER

Ladder Balance Act is a captivating circus art that is rarely witnessed. Andriy, a virtuoso of body control, dazzles the audience with his charismatic and graceful performance. As if his skills weren’t impressive enough, he adds another layer of difficulty by juggling up to six rings while balancing on the ladder. Andriy is a natural-born artist who performs with pure joy. An act like this is hardly to be missed!

ANDRIY RUHYLO – UKRAINE – ROLA ROLA

Watching Andriy on stage it’s an absolute thrill, His rola-rola act is a masterclass in balancing and controlling as he effortlessly glides atop rolling cylinders. Andriy even manages to do a headstand on a tower of stacked cylinders or master a handstand on the unstable ground. A truly talented artist, whose captivating performance leaves audiences in awe.

CLOWN ANDRE – SWITZERLAND – CLOWN

Andre has traveled all over the world and was even awarded at the International Circus festival in Monte-Carlo. He just returned from his tour with the well-known French Circus Arlette Gruss and returned to the Swiss Dream Circus after six years. With his jokes he makes his audience laugh again and again.

EVGENIIA – RUSSIA – VIOLINIST & SINGER Experience this young exceptional artist as she enchants you with her violin and supports the other acts throughout the show. Evgenia will also inspire you with her beautiful voice. The combination of live violin and harmonic performance opens up completely new possibilities to add to the charm of the show.
