RED BOX x JBL ENTERTAINMENT | NEW STRATEGIC ENTERTAINMENT PARTNERSHIP

 


Set to elevate Malaysia’s karaoke entertainment scene, karaoke entertainment industry leader, Red Box Karaoke Malaysia (Red Box), has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Concept Associates (KL) Sdn. Bhd, Malaysia’s Sole Distributor for JBL Entertainment Malaysia.



The event, held today at Red Box, The Gardens Mall, and officiated by Rosmin Hashim,  Chairman of the Malaysian Recording Industry Association (RIM) and Chairman of Public Performance Malaysia (PPM), marks a significant milestone for both companies as they aim to enhance the karaoke experience and expand their market presence across Malaysia. This collaboration signifies a shared vision to provide innovative and high-quality entertainment solutions to its customers. 


The strategic partnership encompasses three significant highlights starting with Technological Integration. With JBL Entertainment Malaysia’s cutting-edge microphones, and speakers equipped in Red Box’s karaoke venues, this integration promises unparalleled audio experiences for karaoke enthusiasts, ensuring high-quality sound during every karaoke session.



To boost brand awareness and appeal to a wider audience, the collaboration will engage in Joint Marketing Initiatives. By combining their resources and know-how, Red Box and JBL Entertainment Malaysia will develop effective marketing campaigns. 

Red Box primarily targets families and friends, aiming to highlight their exclusive premium karaoke experiences. These cooperative endeavors will enhance their market standing and draw more customers to their numerous karaoke venues.




Lastly, with a strong focus on innovation, the partnership aims to enhance the overall Customer Experience Enhancement. By introducing new features and services, customers can expect an improved and more immersive karaoke experience with the clear, strong, and melodic tunes of their choice with the new JBL speakers provided.

DA MEN USJ | DRAGON ODYSSEY CHINESE NEW YEAR

 

As the Lunar New Year approaches, DA MEN USJ unveils a unique and eco-conscious celebration, prioritising the climate change narratives and influencing the adoption of lasting changes. 


Under the theme of ‘Dragon Odyssey’ between 12 January and 25 February 2024, the campaign leverages the symbolism of dragons and draws inspiration from beautiful Malaysian folklore, fostering engagement with shoppers, corporates, and authorities through the art of storytelling.



A crab-shaped metal bin at the main entrance champions the eco-friendly initiative, strategically placed to collect plastic caps and bottles. 

All gathered plastic will be conscientiously forwarded to the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) recycling hub in USJ1, reinforcing DA MEN USJ’s dedication to fostering a sustainable and vibrant community throughout 2024.

 

 

Upon arrival at the lobby on the Ground Floor, shoppers are welcomed with a captivating Dragon Pearl display in an underwater setting, with peonies, chrysanthemums, and marine life to give a unique artistic spin to the festive celebration.

 

Catch traditional and acrobatic lion dance performances on the Ground Floor every weekend on 20 and 28 January, and 17 and 24 February 2024 at 2pm. Partnering with VR Drumming Academy, DA MEN USJ showcases a multi-genre musical production involving 70 performers inspired by the legend of Naga Seri Gumum (Dragon of Tasik Chini) and the Chinese favourite, Nezha. A stunning performance will unfold every weekend between 20 January and 24 February 2024 against a mystical underwater mall decoration, some crafted from recycled materials.

 


Shoppers are in for a treat with special meet-and-greet sessions with the beloved Prosperity Bear every weekend from mid-January. Dive into the enchanting ‘Dragon Odyssey’ each week, where dance, drums, and creative use of rescued items converge in a musical production supporting the mall's initiatives. Unleash your creativity with the pre-show eco arts and crafts workshops provided by Global Art, offering a family-friendly experience and creations to enhance your show experience. 

Shoppers can also pick up festive essentials like BBQ dried meat, cookies, gift hampers or even traditional Chinese wear for the whole family at the Odyssey Huatketplace located at the Ground floor.
