The Curve | Sweet Moments at Malaysia Choco Fest

This June, the Curve invites shoppers to discover the rich story behind Malaysia’s cocoa heritage at the Curve’s first Malaysia Choco Fest, taking place from 25 to 28 June 2026 at the Centre Court. Held in collaboration with industry partners: Lembaga Koko Malaysia (LKM), Cadbury Dairy Milk Malaysia, and Tourism Selangor, the celebration brings together chocolate enthusiasts, families, and the community for a memorable experience that explores the journey of cacao from bean to bar.

Going beyond a traditional festival, the Malaysia Choco Fest offers visitors an engaging and interactive platform to learn about Malaysia’s cocoa industry through product showcases and hands-on activities. With guidance from LKM experts, guests can uncover the fascinating science and craftsmanship behind cocoa cultivation and chocolate-making, gaining a deeper appreciation of the journey that transforms cocoa pods into one of the world’s most beloved treats.

The festival reflects the Curve’s continued commitment to creating meaningful lifestyle experiences that bring people together beyond shopping. Through a blend of education, entertainment, and discovery, the Malaysia Choco Fest provides families with an opportunity to connect and create lasting memories through a shared appreciation for chocolate.

“Chocolate has always been associated with moments of happiness and togetherness. This makes it the perfect way to bring the community together, giving children, parents, families, and friends a space to bond while discovering something new,” said Ms Elaine Liew, General Manager of the Curve. “The Malaysia Choco Fest is part of our effort to offer more meaningful experiences for our shoppers, where every visit becomes an opportunity to learn whilst creating memorable moments together,” she added.

At the heart of the Malaysia Choco Fest is the Chocolate Marketplace, featuring  20 curated chocolate exhibitors by LKM, and Cadbury Dairy Milk Malaysia. The marketplace offers visitors the opportunity to explore a diverse array of chocolate creations, products, and innovations. The festival will transform key areas of the Curve into immersive chocolate-themed experiences, with the Centre Court becoming the Choco Pavilion, The Street area reimagined as Choco Dessert Lane, and the Piazza transformed into the Choco Factory

Visitors can also discover dedicated zones such as the Artisan Zone, Kids’ Corner, Sampling Area, and Chocolate Exhibition, each thoughtfully designed to provide engaging experiences that celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship, and enjoyment of chocolate.

Throughout the four-day celebration, guests can look forward to an exciting line-up of chocolate-inspired activities, including interactive games, live chocolate demonstrations, and engaging experiences for all ages. Highlights include the Chocolate Fantasy Runway Challenge by Malaysia Association of Ethical Designers (MAEFD), offering visitors the chance to unleash their creativity.

Families can also enjoy special appearances by Professor Koko, while daily Golden Ticket giveaways will give shoppers the opportunity to win exciting prizes including a MacBook Neo, Instax Mini, microwave, fridge and many more.

Adding an extra touch of sweetness, the Curve will also be giving away 100 exclusive goodie bags daily to registered shoppers throughout the four-day festival*), making every visit a chance to enjoy more delightful surprises.

With its blend of discovery, creativity, and community connection, the Malaysia Choco Fest invites visitors to experience chocolate beyond its taste by uncovering the heritage, craftsmanship, and stories behind every creation. Whether exploring the Chocolate Marketplace, participating in interactive activities, or enjoying quality time with loved ones, shoppers can expect to create unforgettable moments together at the Malaysia Choco Fest, where every bite tells a story and every experience leaves a lasting impression.

World Chocolate Day Celebration | Let's Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth At Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Chocoholics Lovers!!! It’s a pleasure to welcome one of the sweetest days of the year – World Chocolate Day on 7 July 2024!

On this special day, take your time to celebrate all kinds of chocolate, whether your tastes skew towards dark, white, or nutty.

To satisfy your chocolate curiosities, here are five facts you may not know about one of the earth’s oldest desserts and how you can celebrate this World Chocolate Day.

Chocolate goes back to 1500 B.C.

Chocolate is the one dessert that has truly withstood the test of time. Over 3,000 years ago in 1500 B.C., the Mayans and the Aztecs considered chocolate as a gift from God. The Aztecs, in particular, preferred to drink their chocolate and gave it to victorious warriors after battles.

ROYCE’s chocolate offerings truly taps into pure, cacao flavours to satisfy a curious sweet tooth – think pistachio, caramel, and berries. Could we say, Mayan and Aztec approved? Paris Baguette honours the Aztec tradition of drinking their desserts with their signature sweet iced chocolate.

Of course, we’re happy to recommend Christine’s Bakery to fully indulge in your chocolate fantasies, where the newly-released ‘Choco-Bliss’ bagel resides. With this much sweetness, we think you’d be battle-ready in no time.

Astronauts can bring chocolate up to space!

Even in space, astronauts do not miss out on the delights of chocolates, and are allowed to bring chocolates in their “bonus containers”. Unfortunately, their choices have to be space-safe, so most are unable to indulge in the chocolatey goodness of mixed, melted, and even grilled chocolate.

On the ground, we say thanks for our multitude of choices, such as the specialty King Waffle at Asuka Cafe

If you’re feeling a bit more cheeky (and want to be a little bit of a show-off to those NASA astronauts), toss a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar to your chocolate dip when you grab a quick bite at Street Churros

Looking for a place that would truly make an astronaut cry? With choices from chocolate beverages, ice-creams, and fondue, pay a visit to Molten Chocolate Cafe. Can’t get that on the moon, now, can you?

The largest chocolate bar is approximately 4,125 square feet

Let’s get one thing straight – we’d never encourage you to eat a 4,125ft chocolate bar all by yourself, even though it could be tempting. So, let’s head to the next best thing – the 4,000ft chocolate bar, all broken up into little, decadent pieces.

If you’re looking for a little taste of heaven (but not too much!), stop by Chez Choux to pick up some of their chocolate eclair cream puffs.

Or satisfy your taste buds with something a little bit more local, like a slice of Vanilla Mille Crepe’s Choco Pick Me Up crepe cake – though it’s nowhere near able to satisfy how many chocolates we’d actually want to eat, we think that you’d be just as happy. To add on to the theme of something small and satisfying, treat yourself to a packet of crispy chocolate gourmet popcorn from myEureka Snack. Trust us, it’s like 4,000ft of chocolate bars, all in little bite sized shapes!

The chocolate chip cookie was invented by accident!

To replicate the same crunchy, fudgy goodness that was created accidentally by bed and breakfast owner Ruth  Graves Wakefield in 1930, we recommend none other than Famous Amos, which houses a variety of cookie flavours (our favourite is the classic chocolate chip – also favoured by most of Ruth’s customers when they visited her bed and breakfast).

Meanwhile, the Belgian chocolate chip cookies from Lavender are to die for, while Zus Coffee’s Dark Chocolate Zus Bites would be a healthier alternative.

The trend of chocolate-topped ice cream started in the 1920s

Thank you to Harry Burt, the first man that’s ever topped the frozen goodness of ice cream into a warm chocolate mix. From the 1920s, the goodness of an ice cream sundae simply can’t be topped. If you’re looking for the same experience with frozen treats that was started nearly a century ago, make a pitstop at llaollao and enjoy their frozen yoghurt base, coated with rich chocolate syrup and a variety of toppings.

On that same note, you can also enjoy Baskin Robbins’ famous Chocolate Overload ice cream for a mouthful of rich, fudgy goodness, and for a more affordable option, MIXUE’s ice cream menu is extensive enough, with just the right number of chocolate-based choices – like their classic chocolate sundae, or an indulgent cookie sundae.
