CzipVillage Unveils 'You Are The Living Archive'

As analogue creativity continues to thrive in today’s digital world, CzipVillage returns with a curated weekend celebrating journalling, art, stationery and meaningful human connection.

This year, CzipLee (集利) invites visitors from all walks of life to experience CzipVillage. It features a two-day creative and cultural gathering centred around journalling, stationery, art and intentional creative experiences.

Held at The Venue @ ONE Bangsar on the weekend of June 13th to June 14th, from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm, CzipVillage is brought to you by CzipLee, the beloved Malaysian bookstore and stationery retailer known for championing analogue creativity and community-driven experiences.

This year’s edition marks a significant evolution from the previous year, introducing the theme “You Are The Living Archive”. The concept positions CzipVillage as a welcoming space where visitors, creators and communities are celebrated and remembered through meaningful interactions and creative expression.

Through four key pillars, Market, Record, Create and Gather, personally crafted by the team at CzipLee, the event encourages attendees to slow down, reconnect with themselves and create meaningful memories during a challenging year.

CzipLee is collaborating for the 5th year with Sumthings of Mine, the journalling and stationery lifestyle store behind the SOMe Market, alongside experiential creative collaborators such as:

● Cultprint: Founded in 2020 as a print studio in George Town, Penang, by artists Ernest
   Zacharevic and Sheena Liam
● AACE & Kawan Guni: Community and Sustainability Impact Partner of CzipVillage
● Oatbedient: A forward-thinking brand serving plant-based beverages
●Universal Bakehouse: A neighbourhood community bakehouse
● Bangsar Village and ONE Bangsar: Venue partners

“CzipVillage is an invitation for people to pause and reconnect with themselves through creativity, reflection and intentional experiences.

“This year’s 'You Are The Living Archive' concept reflects our belief that meaningful memories can be preserved through journalling, art, conversation and shared community experiences,” said Alvin Chen, Executive Director of CzipLee.

“More than just a market, CzipVillage has grown into a creative platform that brings together communities, brands and creators who share a passion for analogue creativity and thoughtful living.

“Through carefully curated vendors and interactive spaces, we hope visitors leave with experiences and memories that feel personal and lasting,” added Jason Chen, Executive Director of CzipLee.

Check out what awaits you at CzipVillage:

SOMe Market 5.0
At the heart of CzipVillage is SOMe Market 5.0, the region’s highly anticipated artisan journalling and stationery market curated by Sumthings of Mine. Bringing together over 60 carefully curated creators, independent brands and creative studios from Malaysia and across Asia, the market celebrates the growing culture of analogue creativity, storytelling and intentional living.

Visitors can look forward to discovering niche stationery labels, paper goods, journalling tools, art prints and lifestyle creations, including several overseas vendors who rarely participate in physical pop-ups within the region.

AACE | Kawan Guni
In conjunction with World’s Environment Day (5 June), this year’s theme deeply integrates both social empowerment and environmental sustainability through a powerful collaboration with AACE and Kawan Guni. They are joining CzipLee as the event’s Community and Sustainability Impact Partners.

The event will feature a dynamic mix of engagements and upcycling demonstrations on sustainability. Outdoor activations will highlight collaborative community art projects designed by AACE to foster social cohesion and community expression. To amplify this dual impact, 50% of the entrance fee will be channeled directly towards supporting both AACE’s social empowerment initiatives and Kawan Guni’s environmental sustainability efforts. Each ticketed visitor will get to redeem 1 recycle plastic charm from AACE x Kawan Guni.

Cultprint
Marking their second collaboration with CzipLee and first collaboration with CzipVillage, Cultprint will present art prints and lead community art activities that encourage creativity and participation. Planned activities include interactive drawing sessions for adults and children, with more creative experiences to be announced closer to the event. Cultprint was founded in 2020 as a print studio in
George Town, Penang, by artists Ernest Zacharevic and Sheena Liam.

This year’s edition is supported by key sponsors and partners, including Oatbedient, OCBC Bank Malaysia and Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar. As part of the collaboration, Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar will contribute a special lucky draw prize: a complimentary two-day, one-night stay for two people. The event is also supported by stationery partners such as: Campus by KOKUYO, PILOT, Loka Made, STAEDTLER, Shachihata and ZEBRA.
