LEGOLAND Malaysia Welcomes the Year of the Horse

This Lunar New Year, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort invites families to step into a world where tradition meets imagination, as it welcomes the Year of the Horse with a month-long, brick-built Lunar New Year Celebration, running from 22 January to 22 February 2026.

 

Inspired by the theme “Garden of Prosperity”, the Resort has been transformed into a vibrant festive playground filled with glowing red lanterns, blooming cherry blossoms and immersive LEGO® creations. At the heart of the celebration stands a striking 2.4-metre LEGO® Horse centrepiece – a powerful symbol of strength, renewal and good fortune. 

 

Inspired by the LEGO 40779 Year of the Horse Chinese Zodiac Limited Edition set, the majestic Horse carries an auspicious scroll of blessings for the year ahead, creating a must-see photo moment for families and LEGO fans alike. 

 

Build Your Luck, Brick by Brick

At the heart of the celebration is an interactive adventure that invites guests to build, play and prosper together. Families and young builders can pick up an activity card and trot around the park as they complete creative challenges to unlock the magic of the “Garden of Prosperity” – one brick at a time.

Hands-on festive activities include:

• Build-A-Horse, where guests build their own symbol of energy, courage and good fortune
• LEGO Orange Tree Making, stack prosperity and happiness onto every branch as you build and take home this special creation.

• LEGO Chinese Calligraphy Mural, where culture meets creativity through brick-built artistry
• Minifigure Trading, the classic LEGOLAND favourite loved by fans
• LEGO Horse Post & Win, where snapping a photo with the centrepiece could rein in weekly prizes

 

Spring Festival Spectacular: Galloping into Lunar New Year Traditions

From 17 to 22 February 2026, the celebration reaches full stride with the Spring Festival Spectacular, a high-energy showcase of cultural performances that bring Lunar New Year traditions to life, LEGO style.

Guests can look forward to:

• Lion Dance Blessings & Acrobatic High Pole Performances
• Dragon Dance Performances
• Stilts Walker Acrobatic Acts
• Oriental Live Music Performances
• Chinese Face-Changing Acts
• Ancient Drum Shows

 

Adding to the festive rhythm, daily live shows throughout the celebration include Brick of Prosperity (Opening Show), Lunar Beats Spectacular, and Finale of Fortune (Farewell Show) – each packed with colour, music and interactive moments that celebrate unity, joy and new beginnings.

 

Fortune Fest: Prizes of Prosperity Await

Good fortune extends beyond the festivities! From 17 to 22 February 2026, Fortune Fest rewards guests who spend RM188 or more in a single receipt at participating retail or F&B outlets.

 

Lucky builders stand a chance to win LEGO sets worth up to RM800, with total prizes valued at RM10,000 – proof that prosperity really does come brick-built.

The LEGO Group partners with Lazada to host its largest LEGO LazMall Super Brand Day on 18 May. From a social media building contest (#LEGOMYDreamItBuildIt) and exclusive bundles to gifts with purchase and exciting deals around the clock, this 24-hour shopping event invites customers to ‘Dream It, Build It’ by making their dream cars real with LEGO® vehicle sets.

With the hope of inspiring customers to unleash their creativity with LEGO bricks and unlock the endless possibilities of what makes a dream car their dream car, The LEGO Group has teamed up with Universal Products & Experiences this year to feature a series of unique Fast & Furious-themed activations and LEGO vehicle sets for its LEGO LazMall Super Brand Day. Customers can look forward to exclusive LEGO Fast & Furious Starter Kits and stand to win movie tickets to the latest film in the Fast & Furious Saga, Fast X, coming to theatres in May.

 

#LEGOMYDreamItBuildIt Social Contest

Building on the concept of family which is one of the key Fast & Furious Saga themes, The LEGO Group is running the Dream It, Build It! social contest from now until 18 May, leading up to LazMall Super Brand Day, to encourage families to build their dream LEGO vehicles together, using LEGO bricks from any LEGO sets.

 

Participants are required to:

 

1. Take a photo of their dream LEGO Vehicles build
2. Share the idea behind their design in a post with a caption
3. Include the hashtags #LEGOMY and #LEGOMYDreamItBuildIt
4. Tag @lazada_my to submit their entries on either Facebook or Instagram

 

The top three winners with the most creative builds stand to walk away with prizes worth at least RM 950, while 10 consolation winners stand to receive up to RM 450 worth of prizes, courtesy of The LEGO Group and Universal Group.

In conjunction with LEGO’s LazMall Super Brand Day, there are also LEGO Vehicles themed in-store activations happening on selected weekend afternoons from 13 April to 28 May in selected LEGO Certified Stores, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, and Toys“R”Us stores. Interested participants can register for preferred sessions with the LEGO staff or event crew on a first come, first served basis. 

With the aim of making every kid’s dream of owning a supercar come true, these vehicles-themed in-store activations help to create an atmosphere of awe-inspiring play for children surrounding cool, aspirational, and detailed models of realistic dream car sets.

 

Not only will participants get to engage in hands-on interactive play experience with a LEGO Vehicles set, but they will also get to try their hand at building a simple LEGO car on the spot using the assorted LEGO bricks provided. Upon completion of both vehicles-themed checkpoints, participants can redeem a free LEGO polybag.
