Standing tall and magnificent at the lobby entrance, one would not miss the eye-catching 12feet high Christmas tree decorated with vibrant and colourful fairy lights and ornaments. Not just that, one can also have a nice photo background at the one-of-its-kind fireplace built by Tectic Toys using 38,000 pieces of the parts with 4 manpower over 20 hours. A Santa’s Nice List board was also built and the names of generous donors who contributed towards the fund raising project are displayed on the board.

“My favourite time of the year is definitely Christmas, as it is a very special season of the year, a time for giving, a time to remember our loved ones. We do not want to leave behind the underprivileged during this festive celebration. By purchasing one or more of the collectibles, you get to support all of the orphans and kids from 3 of our selected charity beneficiaries.” said Datin Jasmine.

“As Malaysia’s newest animation theme park, it is also our company objective to reach out to the society through various CSR activities. With our online hashtag of #MAPSweCare, we are glad to be able to put more smiles on the children’ faces through our collaboration with Dorsett International. We look forward for more collaborations with Dorsett in future,” said Mazian Nawawi, the Public Relations and Communications Manager of MAPS, Ipoh, Perak.

In line with the Christmas spirit of giving and sharing, Dorsett Grand Subang together with Kiwanis Club of Bukit Kiara invited 20 kids from Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Home of Peace to join the evening’s activities and hosted an early Christmas dinner for them. The kids were treated with sumptuous meal, entertained by the special appearance of MAPS’ International costume characters of Papa Smurfs & Smurfette, Christmas carolling and many fun activities and games organised by the hotel’s team and members of KCBK. Each of the children were presented with a token sum, a Dorsett Bear Knapsack, a mini set from Tectic Toys and memento from MAPS.

The attendees during the evening also witnessed a mock cheque presentation to the Penang Flood Relief Fund amounting to RM 7,000.00 by Kiwanis Club of Bukit Kiara represented by Datin Jasmine Abdullah Heng.
