Hextar World at Empire City Signs Major Tenants, Gears Up for Q4 2025 Opening

 

Hextar World at Empire City is slated to launch in Q4 2025, marking a major milestone in Malaysia’s retail and lifestyle scene. The recent tenant signing ceremony at Empire City brought together key executives, major retailers and business partners to celebrate this exciting development. Managed by Alliance Empire Sdn. Bhd., this visionary project is a collaboration between Alliance Premier Sdn. Bhd., EXSIM Holdings Sdn. Bhd., JT Momentum Sdn. Bhd., and Hextar Healthcare Berhad.



Among the key anchor tenants announced is the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium (MYNISS) by Koperasi Industri Sukan Atlet Malaysia Berhad (KOPISAMB), an Olympic- sized venue set to elevate the nation’s winter sports scene. Adding to the excitement is Malaysia’s largest indoor water park, featuring a first-of-its-kind concept, along with Slope Master, the country’s largest indoor ski training facility.


For food and beverage (F&B) enthusiasts, the lineup boasts Luckin Coffee, China’s fastest-growing coffee chain, NOMNOM Food Hall, a digitally integrated dining hub offering a diverse selection of local and international cuisines and Senkyaku Banrai, a Japanese-themed food street delivering authentic culinary experiences. Earnest talks are underway with Metrojaya, the established departmental store, to finalize their participation in the mall.

World Oral Health Day With Sensodyne


A new survey* conducted by Haleon, a global leader in consumer health, reveals a significant public health concern in Malaysia: tooth sensitivity. The survey of 248 Malaysians showed that a staggering 69% experience regular tooth sensitivity, with 61.8% enduring the discomfort rather than seeking dental treatment.

The survey, conducted among the 18-40 age-group, showed that younger generations are highly affected by this issue. A total of 38.4% of the respondents were aged 26-40, while 34.6% belonged to the 18–25 age category, indicating a need for an increased awareness and effective solutions for sensitive teeth across all age groups.

 


This common condition disrupts the everyday habits of most Malaysians, with cold foods (58.5%) being the leading cause of sensitivity, followed by sweets and hot drinks, based on the survey. 



These findings highlight how tooth sensitivity prevents individuals from fully enjoying everyday pleasures. Alarmingly, only 13.1% actively address sensitivity by brushing their teeth to relieve discomfort, reflecting low awareness of best practices.

Ignoring it could lead to bigger problems down the line."


 


To commemorate World Oral Health Day, Sensodyne is launching a nationwide campaign “A Happy Mouth is…A Happy Mind” to unite Malaysians.
