The Curve Welcomes a Majestic Year of the Horse


This Lunar New Year, the Curve invites families and shoppers  to step into a world of  tradition, culture, and festive joy as it welcomes the Year of the Horse with its Chinese New Year campaign, ‘Majestic Village of Fortune,’ Running from 24 January to 18 February 2026.


The campaign transforms the Centre Court into a living storybook village inspired by a traditional Chinese township brought to life with imperial elegance, prosperity, and festive abundance.



Adorned with glowing lanterns and rich cultural motifs, the Majestic Village of Fortune offers an immersive festive escape where blessings flow through every corner.  



Designed as a gathering space for families and friends, the campaign celebrates the spirit of reunion, shared traditions and new beginnings. Inviting visitors to usher in a Lunar New Year filled with harmony, good fortune and meaningful moments at the Curve.

 


“At the Curve, we believe that Chinese New Year represents more than a celebration, it’s a chance to reunite with family, pay homage to tradition, and share special moments across generations,” said Ms Elaine Liew, General Manager of the Curve. 



“Designed as a space where families and friends can gather and connect, the Majestic Village of Fortune invites visitors to celebrate the New Year in a meaningful way.”



Bringing the village to life is an exciting lineup of cultural performances and interactive experiences curated to delight visitors of all ages. Shoppers can look forward to the auspicious God of Prosperity Walkabout and the energetic Lion Dance performances, symbolising luck and prosperity for the year ahead. 




Traditional arts take center stage with Guzheng performances, live speed painting, and dynamic Wushu performances, while talented young performers also dazzle audiences with lively Diabolo showcases. Additionally, little ones can enjoy hands-on fun at the Little Lucky Craft Workshop.

 



Complimenting the festive atmosphere is the Prosperity Market, inspired by the bustling traditional streets where culture, and community flourished side by side. Visitors can explore a thoughtfully curated selection of festive treats, traditional attire, jewellery, floral arrangements, handcrafted goods and artisanal products.



 Reflecting the Lunar New Year’s symbolism of prosperity and shared abundance, the Prosperity Market also underscores the Curve’s ongoing commitment to supporting local SMEs while encouraging meaningful festive gifting.

 



In the true spirit of compassion and renewal that defines the Lunar New Year, the Curve continues its commitment to community care through a meaningful corporate social responsibility (CSR)  initiative. As part of this effort, the Curve will host a special Pampering Day for the Elderly, offering complimentary salon treatments, including haircuts, manicures, and pedicures. This initiative aims to honour and uplift senior members of the community, ensuring they feel rejuvenated and cherished as they step into the New Year. In addition, the Curve continues its #KongsiKindness initiative by encouraging shoppers to donate essential items in support of residents at Rumah Kasih Charity Home.



Adding a fun and interactive touch to the festivities, visitors can take part in the “Crack Your Fortune” activation, where they stand a chance to win a Lucky Fortune Meow 999.9 Fine 1gm Gold Coin sponsored by Wah Chan. Shoppers are invited to visit the activation wall located in front of Starbucks and follow the simple steps for a chance to win.

THE CURVE BERAYA DI KOTA RAYA | CELEBRATE THE SPIRIT OF 90s RAYA WITH NOSTALGIA THIS RAYA 2025


This Raya season, the Curve invites visitors to relive the nostalgia of 90s Raya celebrations with ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’. 



Running from 28 February to 6 April 2025, the campaign transforms the Centre Court into a vibrant retro bus terminal, celebrating the nostalgic charm of Raya in the city. 



A key highlight of the setup is the iconic pink minibus, a familiar sight in the Klang Valley and a beloved part of Malaysia’s transportation history. 




Complementing the nostalgic theme is a traditional Rumah Biru-inspired kampung house, reminiscent of the classic wooden homes of Kampung Baru, as well as old-school bus stops, ticket counters, and a 90s Raya setup that beautifully captures the charm of past celebrations.

Jazmi Kamarudin, Chief Operations Officer of Boustead Properties Berhad, shared, “This Raya, we are thrilled to celebrate the beauty of heritage while also supporting local businesses and uplifting the community. Through the ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’ campaign, we want to bring back the nostalgia of celebrating Raya in the city, where cherished traditions, vibrant bazaars, and communal festivities create a truly special experience for all generations.”

 



In keeping with its commitment to championing local entrepreneurs, the Curve welcomes over 100 Raya booths, including more than 10 celebrity booths, offering a diverse selection of Raya outfits, accessories, festive cookies and Juadah Berbuka Puasa throughout the mall. 

 

Visitors can immerse themselves in the Raya spirit with lively cultural performances such as Dikir Barat, Zapin, and Raya Musical Dance, while families can enjoy Kids’ Raya Workshops, where young ones can take part in Ketupat Weaving and Raya Card Making during weekends. 

 


Shoppers will also be rewarded through the Curve’s Gift with Purchase (GWP) programme. With a minimum spend of RM200, shoppers will receive limited-edition Raya packets and stickers. Those spending RM450 and above will receive a special Raya tote bag, designed by renowned doodle artistAnn Jaafar, along with Raya packets and stickers.  

 


For those who love a challenge, the Curve’s ‘Cari dan Menang social media contest offers shoppers a chance to win shopping vouchers, and exclusive the Curve merchandise. 

 


In the spirit of giving, the Curve marked the launch of its Raya campaign with a heartfelt Berbuka Puasa gathering for children from Rumah Anak Yatim Damai Kuang, where Flint also hosted them for a special iftar experience as part of the Curve Lurve CSR initiative. 



To make the occasion more meaningful, the Curve and its vendors contributed essential items, Raya outfits, duit raya, hampers, and festive cookies, ensuring the children enjoyed a truly memorable celebration.

 



Further fostering the spirit of giving, the Curve collaborated with Suria FM to organise a Bubur Lambukdistribution, featuring the renowned Masjid Kampung Baru Bubur Lambuk team. The traditional dish was prepared and shared with visitors, with the participation of En. Khairul Azizi Bin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of Boustead Properties Berhad, En. Jazmi Kamarudin, Chief Operations Officer of Boustead Properties Berhad, and Suria FM’s radio personalities DJ Lin, Iman, and Chiwan and staff members. 

 


To encourage community participation, a Donation Booth ‘Kongsi Rezeki’ is available  at the Centre Court from 28 February to 6 April, where shoppers can contribute essential items to Rumah Anak Yatim Damai Kuang. Donations will be delivered in two batches, on 17 March and 7 April. Additionally, every Friday before iftar, the Curve’s management team will distribute 50 special Ramadan gift packs to shoppers as a token of appreciation.  

 


Embracing the festive spirit of togetherness, the Curve is sponsoring tickets for the #theCurveBelanjaBalikKampung initiative in collaboration with Suria FM. This exciting social media and on-air contest invites participants to submit their most creative Pantun Raya for a chance to win VIP bus tickets home for Raya to the southern, eastern and northern region.  

 


This year, the mall continues to expand its offerings with new tenants, including F&B favourites like Serai, Kenangan Coffee, Toast Maker, Koppiku, Summer Bliss, and Richeese, alongside fashion and accessory brands such as Original Classic, Osmanli Oud, Hyrem, and Case. Families can also look forward to Moonbug Cocomelon, a new edutainment experience for young children.  


 

To accommodate the festive crowd, the Curve will extend its operating hours until 12 AM during the last week of Ramadan, giving visitors more time to shop, dine, and prepare for the festivities.
