In this Lunar New Year 2024, VE Hotel & Residence invites guests to partake in the joyous festivities with the unveiling of the Dragon's Fortune Feast. 



This exclusive promotion, aptly named for the Year of the Dragon, offers four expertly crafted set menus ideal for both corporate celebrations and intimate family gatherings.



This year’s promo caters to various preferences and budgets. With options starting at the accessible rate of RM1188+ for the Dragon’s Dance Feast, followed by RM1388+ for the Dragon’s Soaring Feast and the premium experience at RM1688+ for the harmonious Dragon and Phoenix Feast. 



Each set is meticulously crafted for a group of 10, providing a captivating 8-course culinary journey that symbolises prosperity, abundance, and good fortune. For those with a penchant for vegetarian delights, a specially curated set is available at RM988+ per table.



The flow of the dishes is also meticulously curated for all the sets. Guests will start off with the tossing of the Yee Sang, followed by a warming soup, succulent chicken, flavourful fish, sumptuous seafood, delectable vegetables, fragrant rice or noodles, and concludes with a delightful dessert.



At an enticing RM1188+ per table, the Dragon's Dance Feast introduces a delightful culinary experience that is both affordable and impressive. 




The stars of this set are the succulent Roast Chicken, skilfully paired with the homemade Mandarin Orange Sauce and the peeled wok-fried prawns in XO sauce and Edamame. These two stars together, with the rest of the dishes makes it the perfect ensemble for a splendid celebration.



Taking it to the next level is the Dragon’s Soaring Feast at RM1388+ per table. For only, an additional RM200+, guests can indulge in an exquisite array of dishes, including the refreshing Salmon Yee Sang, the flavourful Hong Kong-style Steamed Grouper Fillet, succulent Slipper Lobster, and a specially crafted Golden Harvest Egg Noodles with Crab Meat. The upgraded offerings promise an unparalleled culinary journey for discerning guests.



For those seeking a more lavish dining experience, the Dragon and Phoenix Feast at RM1688+ per table is the epitome of indulgence, as it features premium ingredients. 


The experience unfolds with the luxurious incorporation of black truffle in the soup, offering a symphony of flavours that transcend traditional expectations. The Golden Treasure Bag takes center stage, presenting minced seafood encased in perfectly fried chicken skin, resembling pockets of gold morsels. The culinary journey continues with the fresh cod fish fillet and succulent lobster tail, creating a treasure trove of flavours fit for a grand celebration.



At the end of every meal comes the dessert, and the sweet treats from this year’s menus are a celebration of tradition. Whether it's the indulgent Lotus Pancake in the Dragon's Dancing Feast, the refreshing Chilled Aloe Vera and Peach Gum with Lemongrass Jelly in the Dragon’s Soaring Feast, or the delightful Pandan Mochi in the Dragon and Phoenix Feast, these diverse sweet treats add the perfect note of festivity, ensuring a memorable and satisfying conclusion.


The mastermind behind this year’s feast is none other than the hotel’s Sous Chef, Chef Sin Kiren and his team.



With over a decade of experience in the culinary scene, Chef Sin’s talent lies in harmoniously blending traditional flavours with modern techniques, creating an authentic yet innovative dining experience. Reflecting on the set menus, Chef Sin says that ‘in shaping this year's menus, my focus is on capturing authenticity. 



By prioritising the use of the freshest ingredients and adhering to traditional cooking methods, we aim to craft a dining experience that resonates with the rich traditions of Chinese cuisine, ensuring each dish is an embodiment of genuine flavours. 


I am also delighted to share that our kitchen at The Straits Estate is proudly halal certified. This means that all our guests, regardless of their background, can come together to celebrate, share in the festive spirit, and savour the delightful flavours that our culinary team has prepared.”

The Dragon Fortune Feast promotion will start from 17 January to 25 February 2024 for both lunch and dinner at The Straits Estate on Level M3. A two-day advance booking is required for dining reservations.

OMI | Family Dining In The Premium Wagyu Japanese Fusion Restaurant

 

 

OMI is the brainchild of successful and multi award-winning entrepreneur Ven Chin who founded the notable restaurant chain- GD Group, Singapore. The menu at OMI is a clever fusion of modern Asian flavours and sauces, paired perfectly with traditional Japanese staples of Rice Dons or Noodles Udon. 




Mouse mommy and family were visit to Pavilion Damansara Heights for shopping and dine in in the OMI Malaysia. 



A warm and welcome dining restaurant when we walk in. Mouse mommy has ordered their must signature menu. 



Signature Wagyu Rice Bowl 招牌和牛丼 and Ultimate Wagyu Rice Bowl 极和牛丼 both served with Premium Wagyu Beef that is thinly sliced with flame-grilled flavours. 




The Wagyu Beef is soft and delicious to eat together with rice, onsen egg and sauce. 




Mouse mommy and MR were enjoying our Wagyu Don and the portion given is large. 




Order this Signature Wagyu Don is a must everytime when we visit to OMI Wagyu at Pavilion Damansara Heights. 

 




There are 9 add-on sauces that we can choose from the menu, such as Black Truffle Sauce, Truffle Mayo, Signature Teriyaki Sauce, Black Pepper, Sambal, Mentaiko, Salted Egg, Spicy Mayo and Singapore Chili Crab. 

 



Grilled Unagi Udon Bowl 鳗鱼乌冬面nicely grilled unagi with udon is MH’s favourite. My boy finished the whole bowl of udon and share his unagi with us. 


 

Ice Houjicha Latte 焙茶拿 is full of Houjicha aroma and well blend with latte. Unique and smooth in taste. 

 


Iced Houjicha Latte with Vanilla Ice Cream 焙茶冰拿配冰淇淋 is added with vanilla ice cream, become creamy in taste. 

 

Honey Yuzu Tea 蜂蜜柚子茶 is all time favourite, refreshing and thirst quench. 

 


Geisha Genmaicha 玄米茶 is light in taste and well compliment with our meal. 


 


Salted Egg Fries is kid’s favourite, salty cum creamy salted egg sauce with fries are irresistible. 


 

Truffle Cheese Edamame is a must try menu. Have you think of Truffle + Cheese + Edamame? It is pretty well blended and unique in taste! Mouse mommy loves it!





Japanese dessert - Original Basque Burnt Cheese Cake and Matcha Burnt Cheese Cake with Premium Matcha Kyota Ice Cream. A sweet treats right after the meal. Yummy!

Customers get to see their rotis being made from scratch and assembled within 6 to 7 mins from order. They also have an extensive locally inspired drink menu converting classics like Bandung, Limau Ais and Pandan into frappes and soda coolers.

Mouse mommy loves the Lamb Keju Deja Vu, it is a Rollti with lamb, vegetables and gravy. Generous portion with great in taste. Feeling full with 1 pack of Rollti. There are vegetarian option too for veggie lovers. 



Besides the main menu, Rollti also comes with dessert menu such as Cheesy Nana Choc, La La Melaka and KayaChez. Pandan paste with cheese in Rollti was a sweet treats for sweet tooth. 



The beverage Stylo Milo was great and taste like Milo-van's Milo drinks. Must order menu!


The Ais Ais Kopi is Coffee Frappe with a Crunchi. Coffee lovers will love it. 


 

On business expansion plans for Rollti, Keith Loh further mentioned, “With the kick-off of our first outlet in Starling Mall, we are securing another 10 more locations from now till the end of 2024. This is in line with our group’s ambition of having 100 outlets in the next 5 years across Malaysia and the region”. 


 

To commemorate this launch, Rollti will be offering customers a buy one, free one power combo for everyone to savour these Roti Canais with a modern twist.
