Children Explore Fun Oral Care Hygiene Through #JordanFindingPicasso Colouring Contest

Jordan believes in making firm relationships with customers through an educational direction that builds trust and interest and this surely turns to many converts and happy users. Around 1,000 entries were received from various states, including Sabah and Sarawak with the theme being  ‘My Happy Day’.

30 children from various parts of the country will be rewarded with prizes totalling RM30,000, thanks to JORDAN, Scandinavia’s leading oral care brand, at the prize-giving ceremony last Sunday.

Held for the second year running, JORDAN’s contest was opened to children aged six to nine, and ten to twelve years old, and was held over a two-month period of May and June 2018.  Besides 12 consolation prizes in each category, there were prizes accorded to the second prize winner, first prize winner with the grand prize winner set to receive a basketful of products worth RM4,800.

Through the creative approach of a colouring-cum-drawing activity, JORDAN attracts children and parents to become acquainted with its vast range of toothbrushes, flossers and toothpastes,  and particularly those for children and their specific oral care needs.

Country Manager for JORDAN Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd in charge of Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan, Mr Eric Yong Chee Loong said, “JORDAN is making strong inroads in urban centres and selected towns through various activities that help us interact closer with interested customers, and the general public.

“The quest to build a strong base takes time and much effort, but we at JORDAN are most committed, as we know the quality and value of the toothbrushes that bear this brand name. What’s more, the children’s range needs even more emphasis, as not many people realise the importance of appropriate toothbrushes for their milk teeth and also to fit their jaw-cum-mouth structure,” added Mr Yong.

Besides this creative exercise, JORDAN also organised roadshows to dedicated urban centres of Johor Bahru, Penang, Kota Bahru and now Petaling Jaya, to interact and network with parents and children, via fun activities, educational tips about such a fundamental daily tool like a toothbrush.

Personal hygiene worksheets for kids can be found here to educate and practice good hygiene habits.

JORDAN also undertook visits to 110 primary schools in Klang Valley, Penang, Kelantan and Johor, reaching out to over 44,000 children in Standards One to Three.  The session taught the children and their teachers about proper oral care hygiene and the CORRECT way to brush their teeth.

Concluded Mr Yong, “Children have their own way at expressing how they view the world, and this subject gave them a chance to express what makes them happy.  As a lifestyle brand, JORDAN explores the creativity of the children and still remind them about the importance of their oral care hygiene through a fun, interactive approach.”

Ops! Feeling Dizzy At Museum Of Illusions Kuala Lumpur!

Ames Room
The world’s fastest growing museum chain has officially opened Asia’s very first Museum of Illusions, right here in Malaysia. Mouse mommy and media were attending the launch to explore and experience ourselves: What is inside?

The Vortex Tunnel

Once I walked in, the First station that caught my eyes was the Ames Room. It looks like an ordinary room, but in effect it is a master of distortion, making us experience an amazing visual illusion of The Giant and the Dwarf.

The museum boasts the largest single collection of optical illusions in all of Asia and is set to tantalize visitors to a visual and sensory experience that transcends generations.

Colour Room

“We’re very lucky to have been chosen as the first destination in Asia,” said Museum Director Azizul Aznan.

“With museums in Europe and the Middle East already opened and blue-ribbon destinations like New York, Berlin, Dubai and Toronto expected in coming months, Kuala Lumpur is excited to be first on the map in this part of the world.”

Mouse mommy also got the opportunity to snap photo with the Kaleidoscope effect. Amazing of the photo outcome!

Kaleidoscope
Kuala Lumpur is slated to be the seventh Museum of Illusions since the maiden attraction originated in the land of famous international inventor Nikola Tesla, in Zagreb, Croatia in 2015. Another seven museums are scheduled to open before the end of 2018.

However, unlike most museums, where a certain mature decorum is expected when admiring exhibits, the Museum of Illusions welcomes a bit of noise and banter – particularly laughing and bewildered exclamations.

Mouse mommy and media blogger Jia Shin with her cute daughter were experience the Chair Illusion. It is using the laws of perception and play with roles and sizes ratios by simply sitting in a chair.

The Chair Illusion
“We don’t want visitors to be shy about their emotions, we want them to fully engage and interact with the exhibits. We want them to let their imagination run wild and share their experiences with friends and family as they navigate the perplexing, maze-like museum.”

One of the museums first patrons, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Vincent Tan, was on hand to demonstrate the museums highly interactive character, enthusiastically ‘crawling on the ceiling’ equivalent to the famous Marvel superhero, Spiderman.

Azizul said that the museum challenges the mind at every step and turn. “The way our brain works is extremely complex, we don’t merely perceive reality as we see or feel it. What our brain does is gather information from each of our senses, combining and enhancing some details while ignoring others, all the while filling in any gaps using its pre-existing knowledge of the world.”

True Mirror

“With each of our exhibits, we intentionally alter this information and in doing so we alter your perception of reality in surprising, intriguing, and fun ways. This museum is something you truly need to experience first-hand.”
A Trick of The Eye

With over 70 exhibits, the Museum of Illusions has the largest collection of holograms, stereograms, and optical illusions across Asia. Each of the exhibits has been designed to not only thrill and beguile visitors, but to provide a unique opportunity from which to learn just how easily a person’s mind can be tricked.

Are you ready to radically change your view of the world? Take a photo with incredible poses at Rotated Room! The only limit is your imagination.
Rotated Room
“The Museum of Illusions in Kuala Lumpur is undoubtedly destined to become one of this season’s top city attractions, and visitors will have the opportunity to share their spectacular photos and videos through social media,” Azizul said.

The Museum of Illusions showcases entertaining and mind-bending illusions, each of which teaches about vision, perception, the human brain, and science, allowing visitors to understand why their eyes may see things that the brain does not understand. Ops! Really make mouse mommy feeling confusing now.

Confusing! Yellow OR Green? Blue or Red?
Illusions vary from a gravity-defying slanted room to visual illusions where the person shrinks or grows before their very eyes. You can engulf yourself in a dark and disorienting vortex or sit at a table with multiple versions of yourself while playing a game or two. There is also a gift shop that offers mind-twisting puzzles, as well as souvenirs and games suitable for all ages.

“We also have a clever playroom with lots of problem-solving games, which will absolutely blow your mind. This Museum offers a totally mesmerizing experience; one you can enjoy with the entire family,” concluded Azizul.

There are many more to discover! The museum of Illusions that designed based on science, mathematics, biology and psychology, allow us to learn WHY our eyes see things that our brain does not understand. Amazing!

Mouse mommy also visit to the Smart Shop and take home some tricky souvenirs. There are optical illusions, 3D lighting, T-shirts, pencils, notebooks and educational toys for my kids MR and MH. More photos can click here to view
