KL Gateway Mall Celebrates Chinese New Year Together With Yayasan Sunbeams Children And The Community!

KL Gateway Mall, the urbanite mall strategically fronting Federal Highway, hosted a pandalicious Chinese New Year celebration for 50 underprivileged children and caretakers from Yayasan Sunbeams Home.

The children, who were all decked out in their favourite Chinese New Year attires, were welcomed by the Senior Management of Suez Capital Sdn Bhd.

The fun-filled afternoon included a Coin Pouch Handicraft Workshop, 5 Emperor’s Drum performance, Acrobatic Double Lion Dance performance, Rainbow Chinese Calligraphy Demo as well as God of Prosperity Walkabout.

The festive celebration brought even more joy and smiles to the children as they excitedly walked into the 60ft long Inflated Giant Panda Playground located at the Central Piazza.

The Inflated Giant Panda Playground is the first-of-its-kind in Malaysia and provides hours of fun for children of all ages.

“As a community shopping mall, we are honoured to host this festive event as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. We hope that the children had an enjoyable and memorable day out at KL Gateway Mall,” said Datuk Ter, the Group Managing Director from Suez Capital Sdn Bhd.

To further heighten the festive mood of Lunar New Year, the Senior Management and staff of Suez Capital, children of Yayasan Sunbeams Home as well as members of media gathered for a 20ft yee sang tossing session, to welcome abundance and prosperity for the new year.

The afternoon concluded with a presentation of cheque contribution to Yayasan Sunbeams Home as well as ang pau and goodie bags distribution to the children.

In celebration of “The Joy of Spring” at KL Gateway Mall, a line-up of exciting kids’ art & craft workshops such as Chinese Fan Colouring and Fabric Ang Pao Packet Workshop are conducted from 20 January till 17 February 2019.

Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM88 will get the beautifully-crafted Ang Pao Packets, while those who spend a minimum of RM138 will get an exclusive CNY Lucky Glass Plate.

KL Gateway Mall is open from 10am to 10pm daily. All are welcome to participate the Chap Goh Meh Festival on 23 Feb 2019 (Saturday) from 5.00pm – 10.00pm.

Exciting Mickey And The Roadster Racers "Super-Charged" Carnival At MidValley Megamall

Happy weekend! Kids and families in Malaysia are invited to kick-start their engines with Disney Junior’s Mickey and the Roadster Racers Super-Charged Carnival held at Mid Valley Megamall Centre Court from 8 to 13 January 2019! Till this Sunday only!

Families can look forward to a fun line-up of activities, including the chance for kids to design their very own roadsters, scan their creations and watch them transform into 3D vehicles that will race around Hotdog Hills and major KL landmarks on a huge first-ever interactive digital wall in Malaysia.

Young racers will also have the chance to participate in Mickey and the Roadster Racers-themed arts and craft, and LEGO DUPLO workshops.

Plus, from 11 to 13 January, families will stand a chance to meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in special meet and greet sessions, only at the Mickey and the Roadster Racers Super-Charged Carnival.

Mouse mommy also one of the Mickey Mouse fans! Many Mickey Mouse games, activities and merchandise available during this weekend too.

The Mickey and the Roadster Racers Super-Charged Carnival celebrates the premiere of brand new Super-Charged episodes from the animated series Mickey and the Roadster Racers on Disney Junior (Astro CH 613), every Monday at 2.30pm (starting from 7 January).

In these special episodes, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie and Daisy run a super-cool garage of transforming their vehicles to super-charged roadsters, which they race to awesome new locations!

Celebrate Happy New Year 2019 With MDCC!

Happy New Year 2019! The air was filled with excitement and merriment at Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre (MDCC), as revellers gathered together to celebrate the end of yet another year and countdown the final hours to usher year 2019!

MDCC, which includes the Curve, eCurve and IPC Shopping Centre, held its annual New Year’s Eve fete, The Final Countdown 2019!

A throng of participants and merrymakers from all walks of life participated in the various festivities, which started in the afternoon and lasted well into the night.

Mouse mommy and buddies also have a great NYE celebration and have fun with the crowd!

The celebrations started off with a Fitness Fiesta session led by prominent fitness celebrities, Hansen Lee, Nana Al Haleq and Lee Yvonne. Sports enthusiasts worked up a sweat with the Movement Training and High Intensity Interval Training, while others rocked out to popular tunes with Zumba.

Kids also had their share of fun as they cheerfully bounced on an inflatable playground! While waiting for the main festivities to start, children and parents enjoyed an evening full of fun and laughter and even made new friends along the way!

Others visited the shopping malls in the area for last minute shopping and even had the chance to explore and enjoy the plethora of dining options available.

Moving on to the highly anticipated event of the night, families, friends and loved ones convened at the Countdown Concert as Phat Fabes and Lee Yvonne kicked-off the fiesta with their signature charm and flair. There was much to look forward to as local celebrities Aizat Amdan, Ruffedge, Elvira Arul, Talitha Tan and Orange Tan wowed the audience with much-loved songs.

There was something in store for all music lovers, the young as well as the young at heart. Locally grown band, Ruffedge, evoked nostalgic memories with their timeless performances of Bila Rindu, Khayalan and Lemas. Through her energetic and powerful renditions of hit single Titanium by Sia as well as This is Me from the beloved film The Greatest Showman, Elvira Arul had the audience on their feet and singing along with delight.

Another popular name in the local scene, Aizat Amdan, who first gained fame as a contestant during Akademi Fantasia, wowed his fans with his most famed single, Hanya Kau Yang Mampu.

As a surprise, Aizat performed a beautiful medley of Hero and You Are The Reason, which had the audience cheering and dancing along. As Orange Tan took the stage, the crowd was elated and sang their hearts out as she performed favourite Mandarin and English tunes.

Another homegrown talent, Talitha Tan, who first gained Malaysians’ hearts with her chart-topping single Okay, took the stage with passion and brought the party to full swing.

She drew a loud applause from the crowd with her soulful music style as she performed her well loved songs such as Girls, Fooled Me and even an impressive cover of current hit single, Without Me by Halsey.

When the clock struck midnight, the audience was captivated as the sky exploded into a brilliant display of colour and sparkle, staying true to its reputation of being the largest and longest fireworks display in Mutiara Damansara!

The partygoers then welcomed the New Year with well wishes and blessings to their loved ones and friends. Happy New Year Sherry!
