Gong Xi Fa Cai with Lunar New Year Run 2018!

One of our fitness mission accomplished – Lunar New Year Run 2018 organized by Pacers Sport at Urban Park Setia Alam. Mouse mommy loves to bring along family to join fun run. This time, MR was special request to join CNY run to kick-start the Lunar Chinese New Year! Awesome idea!

A good mission and mouse mommy happily participate together with MR. All the runners start with a warm up group exercise before we start to run.

The organizer was really pay efforts in CNY set up and decoration. All was in “ang ang” red colours including our running t-shirts, backdrop, stage design, activities, games and not forget the background CNY songs.

Yes! We are starting to run together! Many family also bring along children to run together. A healthy run activity that able to encourage family bonding moments and detox too!

Happy smiles and fun filled along the running tracks. MR was even sang me CNY songs. So cheerful my little boy!

We do stop few stations for some rest as in MR said that no more energy. Haha! But, MR was able to recharge in speed mode and continue the journey with mouse mommy. Never give up. Give you a big thumb up, MR!

A surprise that mouse mommy received from sweet little MR was he gifted me 2 units of yellow wild flowers that he spotted and picked from the roadside. Mouse mommy feels so touching and lovely! Every moment that we spent together was keep recorded in our memories.

After we reached the finishing line, we are collected our medals and enjoy light breakfast, fruits and drinks by the organizer. MR loves the banana and 100plus drink so much!

There are many lucky runners bring home with lucky draw prizes too! We are joining the CNY stage activities games and won a ang pau from the organizer and share among our team. Everyone was winner and enjoying the game. More exciting photos can click here to view.

Kick Start New Year With MDCC NYE Fun Run 2017!

Happy New Year 2018! Mouse mommy and friends were celebrate new year eve with MDCC NYE run 2017 at Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre (MDCC) that organized by Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre, IPC Shopping Centre, the Curve and eCurve.

This is the first night run that mouse mommy joining cum a happening New Year eve count down event. Really exciting! Slight raining does not stop the runners and community to have fun together! More photos can click here to view.

MDCC Fun Run 2017 is a annual run event to encourage healthy lifestyle to kick-start New Year! A meaningful fun run cum countdown party that must not missed! We start the 5km run at 8:30pm. Everyone was happily dashing away to mark the start of the night’s activities.

After the run, we collected our medals and join the concert and countdown party! Many artists such as SKYHIGH , Edwin Choo, Atrez, Twins and Kaka Azraff were performed on the stage. The excitement in the audience was palpable as fans awaited the appearance of well-acclaimed singer-actress Kaka Azraff. With her fashionable style and powerful stage presence, the charming songstress drew loud applause from the crowd with renditions of her much-loved singles, Kembali, Lean On, Bawaku Pergi, Layar Impian and Bukan Hal Aku.

As midnight approached, everyone was counting down 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… Happy New Year 2018! All eyes turned to the sky for the best show of the night, the largest fireworks display at Mutiara Damansara! It was well worth the wait as the first bright spark shot up into the air high above the crowd as they welcomed the New Year and vivid colours blossomed across the skies above MDCC with cheers! Karyn Lim, Centre Manager of IPC was happily said that from the fun run to the concert, and finally to the incredible fireworks display, we are thrilled to see the crowd having a wonderful time with family and friends. IPC would like to wish all our patrons a very Happy New Year 2018!

Super Preemies Run | Awareness | Education | Bonding | Gathering

Mouse mommy and family were joining Super Preemies Run organized by Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), University Malaya Medical Centre. Everyone were happily start up a day with healthy run and support the awareness of World Prematurity Day! Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Eleena binti Almrhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah also support and officiate the Super Preemies Run.

Early arrival kills more newborns than anything else and complications from early arrival kill more babies in their first year of life! Do you know that 1 in every 10 babies are born premature? 15 million babies are born prematurely every year in worldwide. Premature birth is the leading cause of death for children below 5 years old and might cause a lifetime disabilities.

What is the impact if babies born TOO SOON ? Baby would be considered a miscarriage if born earlier than 20 weeks. Loosely considered the limit of human viability outside the womb for 24 weeks old babies. More babies born after 28 weeks will survive, but might have health and developmental problems. Babies' respiratory centre in the brain still not yet mature if born in 35 weeks. 37 weeks old onwards babies were considered as term and normal.

This is an awareness educational run as well as a Preemie family gathering. Mouse mommy was feeling so happy to see the healthy preemie babies come and participate in the run. Not only that, public and community also show support and join this run !

Baby MH was so excited! He is enjoying running on the running track on himself. So lovely! MR already a big boy and he was running ahead !

A family fun run together with kids was a healthy activities that we want to encourage in our community. More photos can be click here to view.

There are fun games booth, inflatable games and lucky draw for adult and kids as well. Everyone was enjoying and have fun!

MRCA Charity And Carnival Run 2017 | Run | Charity | Health | Happiness | Fun | Love

MRCA Charity and Carnival Run 2017 is proudly co-organised by MRCA and McMillan Woods, with the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) as supporting sponsor; and MRCA Corporate Patrons – Maxis, Maybank, Fusionex and Mastercard. Other sponsors include Lotto, Seth Learning Garden Sdn Bhd, DTCK Corporation Sdn Bhd, and Valiram Group.

Mouse mommy and MR were excited to kick-start the run in the morning at The Place, One City, Subang Jaya. Yes! Let’s run together! After the run, we got our “C” shape medal of MRCA run!

They are many vendor booths available for the runners to redeem the sponsored products such as Chinese Herbal Jelly Powder, Himmel Dehydrated Fruit packs, banana from AIA Vitality, Good Morning healthy drinks, Jussu fresh carrot juice and so on.

Mouse mommy and MR love the Himmel dehydrated fruits! Mouse mommy and MR were loved to eat the dehydrated red dragon fruit, it is naturally sweet and taste nice without feeling guilty to enjoy it!

The Malaysian Retail Chain Association (MRCA), in collaboration with McMillan Woods, Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) along with major retailers, has successfully raised over RM100,000 through the MRCACharity and Carnival Run 2017, held at OneCity, Subang Jaya today. This amount will be donated for the betterment of 10 selected charitable homes in the city. Guest of Honour Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. M Kayveas, Special Advisor to the Minister of Transport, flagged off the annual run.

Themed “Care, Share & Run,” the event managed to attract more than 3,000 runners this year. There were also a total of 550 children from orphanages who were invited by the association to join in for the fun and games at the event’s specially-curated kids carnival.

The children from charity homes were enjoying the run and have fun in the carnival too! Colourful balloons with happening performance and games bring laugh and happiness to everyone! Such a thoughtful ideas of the organiser!

Malaysian well-known celebrities such as Amber Chia, Carrie Lee, Debbie Loo, Amelia Lee, Janice Choong, Crystal Lee and Owen Yap also attended the event; taking centre stage as run ambassadors.

Dato’ Choi Wei Yee, the Organising Chairperson, expressed that, “We are overjoyed that the committee has managed to organise yet another successful charity run. Through this event, MRCA has garnered over RM100,000 – exceeding our targeted goal.”

“This fourth edition charity event proves MRCA’s continuous vision to give back to the society. We believe that through this, we have brought a smile to the faces of these beautiful children as well as senior citizens – this would have been an impossible feat without the support of our fellow Malaysian retailers as well as the public,” added Dato’ Choi Wei Yee.

The proceeds from this event will be donated to Rumah Charis, Angel Homes, Good Kids, Juara Home, Ace Lighthouse Academy Bhd, Kiwanis Club of Kluang Mandarin, Home of Love, Rumah Sayangan, Persatuan Insan Istimewa Cheras, and Good Samaritan Homes.

Dato’ Seri Raymond Liew, McMillan Woods Global founder and president, reiterated, “We, at McMillan Woods, are proud to collaborate with MRCA to present this successful charity event which gives the public a platform to do good for the society. We believe that it’s impossible for one to help everyone; but everyone can help one person.”

Dato’ Garry Chua, President of MRCA, echoed, “We are happy to see such strong support for our annual charity event. We hope that the support of MRCA, along with the nation’s major retailers, will inspire commitment from other corporate bodies to our cause of bringing hope, strength and joy to these underprivileged Malaysians for the betterment of their lives.”

Meanwhile, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. M Kayveas said, “I am extremely thankful to be here today as the guest of honour for MRCA’s charity event. This is a great CSR initiative by MRCA and I’m proud to see the Malaysian society coming together to make this event a success in the hopes of benefiting these charity homes.”

There were a total of 34 trophies and prizes worth RM40,000 up for grabs from the Men’s Open (10.8km), Men’s Veteran (10.8km), Women’s Open (10.8km), and Women’s Veteran (10.8km) categories. There were also non-competitional Men’s 5.3km and Women’s 5.3km categories, along with a Team Run category, consisting of four members per team, where each runner was required to complete a 900 meter run (Relay).
