Nature’s Heart, a brand available only at Guardian, is dedicated to offering healthier food and drinks of exceptional quality, taste and value has introduced their Multi Grains Fruits and Vegetable Drink Mix, Milled Flax Seeds and Chia Seeds.

Nature’s Heart understands that while consumers want to adopt a healthier lifestyle, health foods and drinks can be less appetising compared to the sweet, salted, spicy, creamy, oily and flavouring-added foods that are the first choice to many of us.

The majority of us are guilty of trying and failing to change our diet, activity and stress levels. We cite lack of time, energy, money and willpower as well as the inconvenience of healthy lifestyles for our failure.

Nature’s Health aims to add convenience, taste, versatility and affordability to make it easier to start on a healthy lifestyle and to stick to it.

Malaysians need to get healthy as the state of the nation’s health is serious.  The National Health and Morbidity Survey 2015 showed that  approximately one in two people have high cholesterol levels[1]. Adding to the health issues about 17.7 per cent of adults are obese, while about one out of three are overweight.

The same survey revealed that 94% of Malaysian adults do not eat enough fresh fruits and vegetables, when fibre has been shown to be essential to a healthy balanced diet.

Enter the Nature’s Heart’s new offerings of Multi Grains Fruits and Vegetable Drink Mix, Chia Seeds & Milled Flax Seeds that can be the first baby steps towards a healthier lifestyle as they can be conveniently added to food or drinks for nutritional benefit through natural ingredients with no additives such as chia seeds, and milled flax seeds.

Nature’s Heart is available only at Guardian stores and the Guardian e-store www.guardian.com.my. There are more than 400 Guardian stores nationwide.

These products can be consumed anytime of the day. A useful tip for those who find it challenging to commit to a change in diet is to focus on one meal a day such as breakfast and gradually incorporate goodness and a more nutritional diet at all meals. It is a product of the United States of America, Nature’s Heart flax seeds contain protein, calcium, magnesium and iron.

Breakfast is vital as it helps regulate our body between eating and fasting and provides the fuel for our body so it can burn calories throughout the day. It also acts as a boost of physical and mental energy to keep you going throughout the day as it increases blood glucose levels which is an important element for brain function. Kick-start the day with Nature’s Heart Multi Grains Fruits and Vegetable Drink Mix which is cholesterol and trans-fat free food, with no added preservatives, high in dietary fibre and contains oat beta-glucan.

Beta-glucan is a type of soluble fibre that may help reduce blood cholesterol levels[2] and stabilise blood sugar levels.[3]

Nature’s heart Multi Grains Fruit and Vegetable Drink Mix contains 40 plant-based ingredients consisting of multi grains, beans & peas, mixed greens, mixed fruits and berries. The Nature Heart Multi Grains Fruit and Vegetable Drink Mix is also formulated with Swedish oat bran, corn dietary fibre, wheatgrass, spirulina and marigold extract.

It can be mixed with either cool  or lukewarm water. For variety it can be added to milk, juices and even smoothies. Importantly for foodies and picky eaters it is delicious and bursting with goodness.
Chia seeds are a particularly fun superfood as they swell in liquids to a gel-like substance that adds texture and promotes a feeling of satiety. Incorporate Nature’s Heart Chia Seeds into the daily diet by adding a tablespoonful to water or beverages, or sprinkling it over smoothies, salads, yoghurt or cereals.   This product of Argentina contains plant-based Omega 3, is high in dietary fibre and is not added with additives and preservative. It is suitable for vegans.

Nature’s Heart Chia seeds are a source of protein, calcium and magnesium. Chia Seeds are naturally gluten-free[4]. Studies show that the consumption of chia seeds promote healthy bones, skins and muscles other than supporting the heart and digestive systems[5].

Stay Active With First-Ever Laman Cergas AIA Vitality At Taman Metropolitan Kepong By AIA Malaysia!

Mouse mommy and family have a morning exercise at the Taman Metropolitan Kepong. With the goal of making healthy living more accessible, AIA Bhd. (AIA) in partnership with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) today launched the first-ever Laman Cergas AIA Vitality – a specially-designed outdoor gym at the popular Taman Metropolitan Kepong, with the purpose of encouraging Malaysians to be more active and overcome a sedentary lifestyle.

Healthy lifestyle must be encouraged in our community. Youngster and kids nowadays tend to tag along with their information technology gadget. MR also plays and learns via his Ipad. However, mouse mommy does always emphasis on balancing and healthy lifestyle in study, nutrition, leisure and exercise.

As in a strong body and healthy mindset allow us to explore our daily life positively. Mouse mommy was glad to take part in the launch of The Laman Cergas by AIA Vitality that beneficial to the community.

We are enjoying the Zumba dance and sweat out in the morning! Detox and tension release too via workout!

MR and MH also enjoy their play time around the garden and children outdoor playground. A great family bonding moments activities during weekend.

In a recent study, it was found that Malaysia was one of the least physically active countries in the world, with over 60% of adults contented to be desk-bound with little or no intention to exercise. 54% of Malaysians also divulged that committing to an exercise regime required too much effort, while 78% cited that it took a lot of time[1].

These factors accumulate as the National Health and Morbidity Survey[2] also states that over the past 30 years, the rates of physical activity amongst Malaysians have dwindled, with the numbers for Type 2 diabetes rising by four-fold and obesity by 280%.

Chief Executive Officer of AIA Bhd., Anusha Thavarajah said: “Over the past decade, we have seen the alarming rise of diabetes and obesity rates in the country, which has spurred our mission to advocate a healthier lifestyle for all Malaysians. Our big idea with the launch of Laman Cergas AIA Vitality today is to encourage Malaysians to commit to a heathy living through physical activities, starting with the community within Taman Metropolitan Kepong. In the long run, we hope to inspire more Malaysians to get up, move about, and get healthy.”

According to the AIA Healthy Living Index 2018, Malaysians’ overall satisfaction on health has increased from 79% in 2016, to 82% in 2018. This increase is a genuine sign that Malaysians are keen to make a difference, and are becoming increasingly health conscious, as the AIA Healthy Living Index also shows that they are spending a minimum of 3.5 hours a week to exercise, as opposed to 2.6 hours two years ago.

The survey also discovered that more than half of the Malaysian respondents stopped exercising because they felt it required too much effort. 78% of Malaysians shared that finding time to exercise was one of the biggest barriers in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The motivation for Laman Cergas AIA Vitality was borne with the intention to make wellness more accessible to Malaysians and be the solution to barriers such as time and availability. AIA has worked together with Fitness First to select exercise machines to form a circuit training course that works out the entire body and is specially designed for all levels of fitness, thus making it suitable for the general public. Each machine comes with a QR code, which directly links the user with a video on how to properly use it.

Taman Metropolitan Kepong is 95-hectares large and frequented by individuals from all walks of life including fitness enthusiasts, families and even avid bicyclists. The addition of Laman Cergas AIA Vitality to the park means that patrons now have an extra outlet to engage in exercises that work out the entire body.

“We launched AIA Vitality in 2016 as part of our efforts to take proactive steps to introduce a one of a kind insurance and health programme. Through this programme, we wanted to empower Malaysians to improve their health by actively supporting and rewarding their healthy choices. Laman Cergas AIA Vitality extends our mission by providing a convenient, well-equipped and safe environment for the public to exercise in so it made perfect sense for us to embark on this project.” Anusha continued.

Having started their journey in Malaysia since 1948, AIA continues to be one of the leading insurers that provide Life, Health, Takaful and General Insurance solutions for customers. In their efforts to evolve with the times and understand the evolving needs of their customer, AIA challenges itself to go beyond the role of a traditional insurance company to become a health influencing mobiliser.

“As AIA celebrates its legacy of 70 years in Malaysia this year, we reflect on a long and rewarding journey that has given us the opportunity to be an integral part of the lives of Malaysians. We are honoured to be able to continuously give back to the communities that we serve over the past seven decades. Rest assured we continue to remain committed to helping Malaysians live healthier, longer and better lives through engaging initiatives that encourage holistic and healthy lifestyles for many years to come.” concluded Anusha.
