The Cold Storage Malaysia Kids Grow & Glow Run 2017 was organised in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebration! It is the
first-ever kids 1km fun run around the Central Park Bandar Utama that consist
of three growth obstacles challenges that suitable for kids age from 4 years
old to 12 years old.
The first obstacle challenge that the kids need to go
through was walk the plank to avoid crocodile from biting them. Mouse mommy was
too excited to join the fun together till forgot to snap a photo of it. MR was
also running on the plank in zigzag position to avoid the crocodile from the
side.
After that, we are continuing running towards the second kid’s obstacle challenge, which was a big inflatable food pyramid. MR was required to climb up the 3 feet tall pyramid and slide all the way down. MR loves this inflatable pyramid so much and asked mouse mommy to continue to play after we finished the running track. Kids always love inflatable activities!

The third kid’s obstacles challenge was the
kids need to choice the correct food path… No…No…No to unhealthy road.
The kids take the opportunity learned to
differentiate between healthy and unhealthy food choices and ultimately make
the decision to take the correct food path to get to the finish line and claim
their medal!

Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was excited to participate in Cold Storage Kids Grow and Glow Run as in this is the first kids run in Malaysia that features the
different stages of growth. As The Fresh Food People, Cold Storage Malaysia has
always aimed to inspire customers to make healthy food choices by availing the
finest selection of organic, fresh and high quality groceries in all Cold
Storage stores. Cold Storage was celebrates Malaysia Day and embrace the
nation’s diversity whilst nurturing the next generation to choose to live in
healthy lifestyles.
After the race, each kid participant was
rewarded with a medal and given a goody bag to be filled up with numerous of
products giveaway from the various sponsor booths. Amongst the event’s main
sponsors were Bestari, Dutch Lady, Mondelez and Haagen Dazs.
Cold Storage Malaysia also take this
opportunity to channeled RM20,000 to MyKasih Foundation as part of the
community social responsibility effort. 40 children were from MyKasih Foundation
also happily joining the race where they ran alongside Cold Storage Sweethearts
and Volunteers towards a healthier life.
Mr Olivier-Pierre Deplanck was delighted
with the turnout more than 1,000 children for the first Cold Storage Kids Grow & Glow Run and plan to make it as an annual event where more families can
work towards a healthier, bonding and more active lifestyle.
Both of them MR and MH sleep well in the
car while we on the way home because already fully utilized their energy. Mouse
mommy was happy to join healthy run events with family and looking forward next
year Cold Storage Family Run too! Cheers!
