Mouse mommy
was wondering if there is only one signal bar at the mobile phone, would it work?
TraqKid officer June answered me that Yes! They are able to track it! Awesome! Which means TraqKid is able to track my kids whenever they might be
in danger or lost.
What sets TraqKid apart from
other child tracking services in the market is its integration with their call
centre and Community Policing Malaysia’s responders. “In an emergency
situation, parents can get assistance to locate their child with just a touch
of a button. Once an alert is triggered, we will mobilise our force to the
location where the child was last tracked,” said Kuan.
U Mobile’s Chief Marketing
Officer, Jasmine Lee, shared that U Mobile was happy to help make TraqKid
possible for parents. “U Mobile is all about coming up with unlimited ideas
that benefit our customers. We are delighted to be chosen as a partner by
Knightsbridge Resources to offer this new service. It is also timely for us as
we have switched on the additional spectrum awarded to us by the government
last year. With our enhanced network, we are in the best position to support the
service.”
To further complement the situation, the Minister encouraged parents out
there to utilise the availability of this service that will assist in giving
greater child safety.
She pointed out that her Ministry will partner with the stakeholders to
ensure greater protection and monitoring is implemented for child safety
through the available mobile app introduced by TraqKid.
“Let’s work together to make this service a success in
protecting our children,” she added.
TraqKid is available for pre-order from 1 November
2017. Subscription starts from RM58 monthly with U Mobile. Upon registration,
there is an upfront fee of RM36 for Personal Accident Insurance.
