JB Ah Soon Bak Kut Teh was located at
Puchong. Mouse mommy was happily gone to try out the Bak Kut Teh from Johor
Bahru. The lady boss was friendly and introduces us their signature dishes.
The JB Bak Kut Teh was lighter in soup
base and suitable for people that prefer not too strong of herbs smell. This is
the specialty of JB Bak Kut Teh called white soup base Bak Kut Teh and now we
can have it in Puchong! They are running family business, so, we taste the
original JB Bak Kut Teh that cannot found elsewhere.
Another special dish of JB Bak Kut Teh
is dry cooked loin silver skin of pork. The chewy texture of the pork loin
silver skin was special.
Normally, we are having Bak Kut Teh with
rice and Char Kway (Chinese fried churros). Mouse mommy was giving an opportunity
to try mee sua (rice vermicelli) with Bak Kut Teh. Ops! Surprisingly it taste
perfectly match and delicious. The Mee Sua just nicely absorb the Bak Kut Teh
soup base with aroma and each of the fed into the mouth was feeling yummy! You
must try this out when you drop by. Highly recommended!
The fried onion with white rice was a
simple item. But, mouse mommy was likes the fried onion taste as the fried
onion was cooked by in-house chef in daily basis. A generous portion of fried
onions put on top of the white rice… yum… yum… simple but yummy!
Others than that, sesame oil chicken,
pork feet vinegar, asam spare ribs, asam fish, steamed fish head, nyonya
steamed fish head, braised minced pork, simmered pork feet, claypork salted
fish and belly and steamed ground pork can be found here too.
The pork feet vinegar was “kaw” with
vinegar, if you love vinegar, then you will like this dish.
Mouse mommy was enjoyed the claypork
salted fish and belly, just nicely match with fried onion white rice. Ops! Not
forget to told you that all the dishes here were cooked with charcoal – the
tradisional way. Hmm… so need to pay a little patience while waiting the food
to be served. Mouse mommy was willing to wait a bit for delicious food.
I must give two thumbs up for the
nutritious red dates drinks and black glutinous dessert. The red dates drink
taste was taste naturally sweet with rock sugar. The black glutinous dessert
was great too! Both just like my mom’s cooked! Mouse mommy seriously cannot
found this kind of good quality of chinese “tong shui” dessert at Puchong area.
Not that I know of till I dine in here. More photos can be click here to view.
