Make Your Own Bento Set - Bento Kids Could DO !

Ayam Brand™, famed for its wide range of healthy and convenient, preservative-free canned products introduced its ‘Bento Kids Could Do’ initiative nationwide, while providing 243,000 healthy meals for charity this year via its annual ‘Ayam Brand Charity Campaign’ corporate social responsibility program. The Ayam Brand™ Charity Campaign is now in its ninth year, and has benefitted more than 16,100 people from 362 charity organizations!  

Fifty charity homes, 47 from across Malaysia and 3 from Brunei Darussalam received Ayam Brand™tuna, mackerel, kernel corn, processed peas, pineapple chunks and baked beans sufficient for daily meals for all residents for two months. More than 1,300 children, disabled, single mothers and old folks have benefited from this sustained aid.

The campaign is in-line with the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s efforts to fight obesity by educating and encouraging children to make informed food choices.

The brand has proven that quality canned food can be part of a healthier diet through its work in promoting healthy eating habits among children and adults with professional bodies, schools, charities and edutainment centers.

This year’s  ‘Bento Kids Could Do’ campaign introduced Japanese cuisine and the concept of Bento meals, a single-portion home-packed meal common in Japanese cuisine that traditionally holds rice, fish, meat with pickled or cooked vegetables with fruit or other sweet items. It is usually beautifully packed in a box-shaped container and is well balanced nutritionally. Japanese people spend time and energy on a carefully prepared bento box for their spouse, child, or themselves.


The children learnt how to prepare for Ayam Brand™ dishes in a fun and interactive session that was specially developed to suit people of different ages and abilities; namely Mixed Fruit Salad, Baked Bean, Heart Shaped Sardine Sandwich and Tuna Onigiri under the guidance of celebrity Chef Loke from T-Garden Cooking School. People said teach the children life skill rather than feed them. Mouse mommy was happily join this meaningful Ayam Brand CSR campaign that to learn how to handmade bento set and onigiri with the children as a life cooking skill that useful in daily life!

FATCHECK Family Cook-off Conjunction with World Heart Day 2016

Philips Jom Airfry dan Menang Grand Finale conjunction with IJN and AEON Big.  

National Heart Institute (IJN) staff compete in a low fat, heart healthy cooking competition jointly organised with Philips Malaysia. Finalist in the Jom Airfry Dan Menang cooking competition face off in the grand finale cook-off at Tropicana City Mall, Petaling Jaya. The Jom Airfry dan Menang as a healthy heart programme of FATCHECK. 

The Jom Airfry dan Menang competition was organised in support of the World Heart Federation's annual World Heart Day celebration that aims to increase awareness on cardiovascular diseases (CVD). In line with the World Heart Federation's 'Power Your Life' campaign, Philips aims to encourage community to take personal responsibility for leading heart healthy lifestyle, starting by eating in healthy cooking way. 

The finalist team require to use their creativity to cook low fat and healthy recipe by using Philips Airfry that aims to cut down fat intake in the food itself. This is a very useful and practical cooking competition as in mouse mommy can learn and utilised some cooking technique to apply in daily cooking skills. Hehe!!

All of the contestants were busy to cook, chop ingredients and garnish their dishes for the judges and hope will be the winner of the day! While the judges also feeling headache to choose the winning team as in all the contestants are paying effort and creative in their cooking recipe, skill and techniques. The cook-off finale was judged by Puan Mary Easaw; Celebrity Chef, cookbook author Marina Mustafa and Ms Sharon Yeoh. The dishes were judged based on their taste, appearance and nutritional value.  

The judges was busying in giving marks to the cooking team members.
Chicken Paradise Island by Riena Family team was getting compliments from the judges that the sweet potato sauce was a good creation that suit the dish. 
Chicken Spaghetti with Tom Yam Flavour with Philips by The Zed Familia team was using fusion technique to cook spaghetti with Asia Tom Yam flavour that meet Malaysian taste bud. 
Smokey Chicken with eye-catching heart shape almond garnishing by Yummy Mommy, Happy Tummy team was praised by the judges that the chicken was in right temperature and juicy that paired with many healthy vegetables and nuts. A healthy meal for the day.
