guardian SkinQi Revolutionizing Skincare | Asia’s Widest Dermatologist-Tested Range

guardian Malaysia celebrates modern derma science’s fusion with Asia’s holistic skin wellness approaches via its Asian Derma Concourse in Sunway Pyramid from the 20th to 26th April 2026. The SkinQi-themed event sees the official launch of the latest and greatest line-up of derma skincare products from China and Korea at guardian, Malaysia’s No. 1 Skin Expert Destination.

The new launches offer topical skin solutions that align with holistic skin wellbeing and were led by market-defining brands like Winona, Pyunkang Yul, APLB, 377 Sightfuture, Proya, Chando and HBN whereby all these afore-mentioned brands, except one, are exclusively found only at guardian. Shoppers here have seen an increasing interest in made-in-Asia skincare due to climate-specific skin concerns. This is a ‘hot topic’ given the on-going heatwave happening here.

Heatwave and Asian skin concerns

Heatwaves aren’t just wreaking havoc on our ecosystem, but it’s also affecting the wellbeing of our skin – the largest organ of our body.

According to Harvard Health Publishing (click here), eczema, rashes and skin sensitivity may worsen when temperature rises. Given increasing skincare literacy, exposure to dermatologists and the rising influence of K-, C- and J-beauty trends, Malaysians begin looking for more ‘effective’ skincare for their concerns.

Speaking at the media launch, Priscilla Wu, Managing Director of guardian Malaysia said,

“These curated brands are focused on the highly relevant categories of eczema, acne and hyperpigmentation so Malaysians can access formulations – some of which showcase the ‘yin’ and ‘yang’ of herbs and science – that have been developed with Asian skin concerns in mind.”

Amongst the VIPs present at the event were Mr Lim Jack Shen, General Secretary of the Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS), Dr Kevin Guo, Director of Product Development Winona and Dr Kwon O-ryeon, Director of Pyunkang Korean Medicine Hospital (Seocho branch).

‘Made-for-me’ Skincare

Each brand in this new range meets guardian's dermatological qualification standards and offers targeted formulations for sensitive skin, acne control, brightening, barrier repair, anti-aging and melanin control. It has been formulated or developed in consultation with dermatologists and backed by rigorous clinical trials and ingredients’ efficacy testing in regional climates.

“This last point on efficacy is paramount to our shoppers,” added Priscilla. As Asians’ skin structure, physiology and pigmentation make-up are unique (click here) and couple that with the extreme climate being experienced here, it isn’t surprising that users would likely benefit the most from Asian derma brands of skincare.

“With these ‘Made-for-me’ skincare brands, the unmet need of our shoppers seeking out the best-of-the-best Asian derma skincare brands is now a thing of the past!

We are the first to bring together the widest range of Asian derma skincare products all under one-roof, with the leading Chinese and Korean brands joining the likes of Japanese ones in-store. To shoppers, come and try our AI-powered Skin Health Check before we recommend the right Asian derma skincare range for you,” added Priscilla.

guardian’s Derma Expertise x Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS)

guardian derma-certified personnel’s professional expertise will be further upgraded via an MOU signed with MPS during the event.

“This MOU with MPS covers collaborative efforts on dermatology-focused professional training program and strengthens our commitment as the trusted advisor of wellness, which is already currently reflected by our over 100 Derma Expert pharmacists and the 600 derma advisors in-store,” said Priscilla.

With the widest range of Asian derma skincare in-store, these derma-certified personnel supported by guardian’s AI-powered tool can suggest to shoppers the right made-in-Asia products for optimal results. All these provide shoppers with an elevated commitment to skin health. It makes guardian a one-stop shop for trusted advice, curated solutions and innovative technologies for skin wellbeing.

“Come check out our new Asian Derma skincare. Let our Derma Expert pharmacists or our derma advisors in-store work with our AI-powered Skin Health Check to help run a personalised skin assessment for you before recommending the optimal skincare regiment for you!” concluded Priscilla.

HORSEH! Takes Over Malaysia: Jin Ye Ye and JYY Group Unleash CNY Celebration with Celebrities and MY Treasure

With the 2026 Chinese New Year just around the corner, JYY Group kicked off its grand CNY Activation at Sunway Pyramid! This marks their third year of partnership, bringing to life the theme “HORSEH! Lucky Bee With You.” Combining heartfelt “Lucky” wishes with the high-energy “HORSEH” (a common Malaysian expression meaning “awesome”) spirit, the event is set to fill the season with good fortune. It’s more than just a roadshow; it’s an immersive experience inviting everyone to see, taste, play, and feel the festive joy!

The event featured a celebrity lineup that included JYY Brand Ambassador Nancy Sit, Ambassador of “MY Treasure” Ah Niu, and Friends of JYNNS 3P. Other special guests who joined the celebration were host Jeff Chin, singer Angeline, Singaporean artist Jaspers Lai, and Malaysian singer-songwriter Madison.

At the event, Alann Tan, Founder and CEO of JYY Group, took to the stage alongside Nancy Sit, Ah Niu, Angeline, and Madison for the first-ever live performance of the viral hit, “Lucky Bee with You,” which has surpassed 3 million views online. The heartwarming melody resonated with the audience, spreading blessings of health and prosperity for the Golden Horse Year. The excitement reached a crescendo when Alann Tan and Ah Niu performed a soulful duet of the classic “Use Malaysia’s Warm Weather to Say I Love You”(用马来西亚的天气说我爱你). As the familiar tune played, it ignited the crowd’s passion, seamlessly weaving Malaysia’s culture and spirit of unity into the festive celebrations.

The energy continued to soar as Nancy Sit, 3P, and Jaspers Lai delivered a high-octane performance of the Year of the Horse theme song, “HORSEH.” The infectious rhythm had the entire venue chanting “HORSEH” in unison, sending the festive atmosphere to a fever pitch.

To further share the joy, a special interactive session was held where the celebrities handed out gifts to the crowd, reinforcing the wishes for abundance and wellness in the new year. A standout highlight of the day was the giveaway of limited-edition real gold keychains – a special collaboration between JYY and Poh Kong. These exclusive items also served to promote Visit Malaysia Year 2026, adding significant cultural depth and symbolic value to the grand launch.

“MY Treasure”: Bringing the Heart of Malaysia to Every Home

In a powerful collaboration, JYNNS and Tourism Malaysia officially launched the “MY Treasure” series. Alann Tan, alongside Mr. Samuel Lee Thai Hung, Deputy Director General of Tourism Malaysia, jointly unveiled this collection of local wellness gifts. During the ceremony, a commemorative plaque was presented to Tourism Malaysia to honor the successful joint partnership in promoting Visit Malaysia 2026 and “MY Treasure” to an international audience on the world’s leading global news platforms, CNN Indonesia.

This initiative also reflects JYNNS’ core brand philosophy: “The Healthier, The Luckier.” Furthermore, JYNNS has introduced exclusive “Visit Malaysia 2026” co-branded packaging. Set to debut on AirAsia flights in January 2026, the collection will subsequently expand to airport duty-free shops and designated tourist zones, positioning it as a must-buy souvenirs for international visitors.

Alann Tan, Founder and CEO of JYY Group, shared, “Gifting is not just about the object. It is about delivering heartfelt care. Through ‘MY Treasure’ and our specially crafted CNY hampers, we aim to bring the unique warmth of Malaysian hospitality into every household. By collaborating with Tourism Malaysia, we hope to showcase these treasures to the world, allowing international tourists to experience the unique natural wonders that Malaysia has to offer.”

Innovative Surprises & Exclusive CNY Offers

Beyond traditional wellness gifts, JYNNS has introduced a seasonal Trigona Honey series for the festive period, featuring Trigona Sparkling Drinks and Trigona Softserve.

To add an element of fun and interaction to their gifting range, the brand has also debuted its original IP – the JYNNS Lucky Bee With You Blind Boxes.

One of the CNY exclusive highlights, Jin Ye Ye and JYNNS have partnered with Poh Kong to launch  the limited-edition 999 Gold Pendant and “MY Treasure” 999 Fine Gold. This “golden” gesture serves as a sincere token of gratitude to customers across Malaysia. Customers who purchase the limited “Gold Edition” Trigona Honey will find a “Scratch & Win” card in every box, giving them the chance to win a 999 Fine Gold Pendant and start the year with a golden surprise.

Nationwide Roadshow Spreads Festive Cheer Across Malaysia

The CNY Activation Roadshow is more than just a single event; it is a nationwide celebration heading to major shopping malls across the Northern, Central, and Southern regions.
