Let's hunt for fun-filled educational activities in Kidzania KL - KidZ vs Food ! |
KidZania Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with Panasonic Cooking and in collaboration with celebrity chefs, cookbook authors and an international food artist, sets out to inspire kids to cook in ‘KidZ vs Food’. Running from 26 November 2016 to 1 January 2017, the programme is an initiative to cultivate cooking interest among children by introducing elements and processes that are both practical and fun.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change. We hope that through KidZ vs Food, we will be able to alter how kids look at food and cooking. We want them to discover the simple joys of cooking and build a sense of confidence and self-sufficiency that comes from successfully completing various cooking tasks and challenges,” explains Shahrul Nizar Ahmad, Mayor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur. Mouse mommy totally agree with Mayor Shahrul and looking forward to cook with my little mouse MR.
Shahrul Nizar adds, “We hope that this programme will also lend value to parents. We want them to see that by involving children in the kitchen, you’re not just making food, you are teaching science in action; helping to lay down basic math, reading and time-telling skills; encouraging healthy food choices; building confidence and creativity; enhancing communication and deepening connections with your child.” Sounds Kool!! Abang Brian did mention that cooking was a life science, we as a parent can share the science facts and skills with the children while cooking bonding time.

Kool ! Going to join the food science and food art session! My little mouse MR was a small eater and tend to choosy in food selection. A bit headache for mouse mommy to figure out ways to let little mouse consume more and more food.
We are going to make our designation Brick Jelly. Sounds great as in little mouse MR love to play Lego bricks and it turn into food now - Brick Jelly. Food art also play role to make the dish more attractive to be eaten, children love to self handmade and enjoy the food. I think little mouse will be enjoying the cookie art session too to decorate his own unique MR cookie. And please make one love cookie for mouse mommy too :)
Hmmm.... Mouse mommy was exciting to join this KidZ vs Food in Kidzania KL with little mouse MR to create our own special recipe and precious bonding moments together :)
