AMAZING SENIORS are proud to present Malaysia’s 1st Senior Festival happening from 30^th September to the 2nd October at Atria Shopping Gallery. All are welcome!

Seniors lifestyle can be colourful, active and amazing when you are explore and experience your life based on your interest and needs.

AMAZING SENIORS are also delighted to announce that YB Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi is gracing the festival with her presence, as their Guest of Honour. After her opening speech, Yang Bahagia will be touring the festival grounds, meeting and greeting all the partners that are participating in this inaugural festival.

Planned in conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons, the Festival is the first of its kind in Malaysia. The aim of the Festival is to celebrate the value, experience and contribution older people bring to our community and, most importantly, to challenge outdated perceptions of ageing.

 

During the celebration the key event will be the launching of Amazing Seniors App, which is a digital ecosystem designed specifically for the needs of Malaysia’s older community. 




 

Festival-goers will be treated to 3 days of back to back activities and can expect top notch exhibitors such as Sunway Santuary, HomeCareShop, EcoSantuary (EcoWorld), Woodrose Healthcare, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Principal Malaysia, Speedoc, Homage Malaysia, TOP GROUP Life Planning, Stairliftworld, Solarsave by Itramas and many more. Many of our strategic partners will be conducting demonstrations, giving talks, holding valuable discussions covering subjects such as healthcare, caregiving, fitness, travel, retirement, financial, well-being, food; while interacting with the audience.

Successful ageing is seen as being multidimensional, based on the interaction of 3 key elements which are the cornerstone of what Amazing Seniors platform aims to facilitate. They are avoidance of disease and disability; sustained engagement in social and productive activities and maintenance of high physical and cognitive function.

“LIFE BEGINS AT 50: THE CELEBRATION is intended to celebrate the joys of growing older while at the same time, raise awareness about the role that older adults play in our society as it is fast becoming an aged nation.

 

According to the Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia, as of the year 2020, adults aged 50 and above account for 21% of the country’s population and is expected to grow 34% by 2040. Based on this findings, we feel the need for every Malaysian to recognize the key elements of successful ageing.

 

Malaysia will be able to unlock a host of opportunities that will benefit the nation which include:

· Mitigating the economic effect of an aging population as people remain productive through their old age.

· The expansion of the consumer economy to provide for the needs of older persons, some of whom will have a greater propensity to spend.

· A new economic driver created by aged care and all its various adjacencies.

GUARDIAN’s Fun Run 2022 | Love |Health | Fun

 

MAEPS Serdang was a sea of ‘Guardian-orange’ as Guardian Fun Runners runners including parents and their children took part in the 2022 Guardian Fun Run held for the first time after 2 years of Covid19 lockdown.

Angela Teo, Head of Marketing, Guardian Health And Beauty Sdn Bhd said; “Guardian is proud to hold this Fun Run for our customers and their families as a way to celebrate our return to our normal way of life, to get outdoors and exercise or in this case, to do a Run.

“The Guardian Fun Run is in line with our vision and commitment to help our customers live a healthy and beautiful life – everyday. And we know that post the Covid19 pandemic, everyone wants to live healthier, smarter and be more health conscious. 

The Guardian Fun Run was truly a family-oriented affair with a Three Kilometre Family Run and a Five Kilometre Neon Run for the more serious runners.  

A Virtual Run was also organised for Guardian customers who were outside the Klang Valley so that they could also take part and not feel left out.

A carnival-like atmosphere prevailed with many activities including special offers by 31 participating brands from Guardian.  

The running participants could purchase and try products at the booths of participating brands such as Bio-Essence, Dettol, Brands, Kinohimitsu, Berocca, Centrum, Callie, Garnier, Aiken, L’Oreal, Ensure, Summerie, VitaHealth, Ribena, Bio-Life, Proviton, Blackmores and others.  There was also a rocking DJ concert performance and EIGHT Lucky draws were held with fantastic prizes on offer.

Wui Kathy, a mother of two healthy boys, aged 10 and 6 years old, who took part with her whole family said she entered the Run because it was a good and healthy outing for her whole family including her husband.

“We took our time in the 3 Km Family Run because we wanted to soak in the atmosphere and the outdoors here on the MAEPS ground.  

It was a well organised event that was very enjoyable with many activities and things to do for me and my family.”  

 

Angela concluded, “The Guardian Fun Run 2022 has been an outstanding success and we look forward to organising more events like this for our customers in future as this is our commitment to help our customers  Live Health Smart.
