guardian Malaysia won the Health & Beauty Retailer of the Year (Malaysia) at the Retail Asia Awards 2025 presentation ceremony in Singapore on 4 June 2025.

This award win, a first for guardian Malaysia, is the ‘crown jewel’ amongst the other awards contended by all the Malaysian health and beauty retail players at this regional recognition ceremony.
“This win recognises guardian Malaysia as your No. 1 Health & Beauty Retailer in our home country. Having started our first outlet in Malaysia 58 years ago, our team members across all levels have redoubled our efforts in the past year to deliver a fresher image, a better selection of products and services and also a better retail experience to our shoppers. During the awards’ presentation ceremony held at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore, guardian Malaysia also swept two other awards, namely the Health & Wellness Initiative of the Year (Malaysia) and the Supply Chain Innovation of the Year (Malaysia), making it a memorable night for the company.
Successfully winning all 3 awards rubber-stamped guardian Malaysia’s approach of shopper-centricity across its innovation efforts – internally and externally. Its past year’s brand-building programs, partnership efforts with suppliers and tenants as well as omni-channel approaches were all designed to benefit its shoppers. These were key factors that helped guardian Malaysia land the big prize of No. 1 Health & Beauty Retailer.

Retail Asia Awards is a distinguished annual event that recognises and honours outstanding achievements, innovations and excellence within the retail industry across the Asia-Pacific region. Major industry retail players across types – from hypermarkets, supermarkets, pharmacies, health and beauty retailers and others – compete yearly at this awards.
The judges for this awards consist of experts from diverse backgrounds to ensure the highest level precision and equal amount of fairness. This year’s distinguished panel judges include David Eu of RSM Singapore, Anson Bailey of KPMG, Olivier Gergele of EY-Parthenon, Quan Yao Peh of Euromonitor International, Brian Man of PWC and Siddarth Pathak of Kearney.
