Super Preemies Run | Awareness | Education | Bonding | Gathering

Mouse mommy and family were joining Super Preemies Run organized by Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), University Malaya Medical Centre. Everyone were happily start up a day with healthy run and support the awareness of World Prematurity Day! Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Eleena binti Almrhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah also support and officiate the Super Preemies Run. 

Early arrival kills more newborns than anything else and complications from early arrival kill more babies in their first year of life! Do you know that 1 in every 10 babies are born premature? 15 million babies are born prematurely every year in worldwide. Premature birth is the leading cause of death for children below 5 years old and might cause a lifetime disabilities.

What is the impact if babies born TOO SOON ? Baby would be considered a miscarriage if born earlier than 20 weeks. Loosely considered the limit of human viability outside the womb for 24 weeks old babies. More babies born after 28 weeks will survive, but might have health and developmental problems. Babies' respiratory centre in the brain still not yet mature if born in 35 weeks. 37 weeks old onwards babies were considered as term and normal.   

This is an awareness educational run as well as a Preemie family gathering. Mouse mommy was feeling so happy to see the healthy preemie babies come and participate in the run. Not only that, public and community also show support and join this run !

Baby MH was so excited! He is enjoying running on the running track on himself. So lovely! MR already a big boy and he was running ahead !

400 Students Back-To-School With Cheers Via TOP ‘A Brighter Future’ Fundraising Campaign!

TOP, the No.1[1] brand in Peninsular Malaysia in the Detergent category brought back-to-school cheer to more than 400 children from across the nation, through its ‘A Brighter Future with TOP’ campaign that successfully raised funds for new school uniforms, shoes and socks.

TOP collaborated with leading retailer, Giant to carry out the charity fund raising campaign from November 13 to December 13, which saw 30 cents from the sales of selected TOP products from all Giant outlets nationwide channeled towards providing the back-to-school necessities for children aged between 7 to 17 years from 18 care organizations. Thanks YOU be one of the supporter and donation. 

The school necessities include a full school kit of brand new uniform, shoes and socks for each child.

The campaign had two simple objectives, which is to give these children new uniforms that they can take pride in, that can motivate them to achieve more by boosting their self-confidence and self-esteem; and to educate them on the importance of a hygienic lifestyle, including caring for their clothing so that they are clean and hygienically laundered.

Uniforms for children from care organization across the nation will be ready for collection before school reopens, giving the children the peace of mind that they will be dressed for success in the new school year.

As part of the education component of the campaign, the Southern Lion team, held a laundry workshop for the children from Rumah Solehah and Rumah Kebajikan Karunai Illam at Rumah Solehah. The new school uniform kits were also presented to the children at this event.

The children were actively engaged in learning how to read garment labels to determine how the items should be laundered, how to correctly use washing machines especially on how much detergent and softener are to be used based on the load size, and the hands-on ‘hand wash’ session that had the young participants splashing around happily.

Southern Lion Sdn Bhd General Manager, Ms Carmen Foo thanked Giant and its customers for their generous support of the program that has brought much hope and joy to more than 1,200 children from care organization across the nation since its inception over the past two years.

“We are grateful for the support of Giant and their customers, who have given generously to support a cause that is close to our hearts, and that means a lot to children who have much less than what we take for granted. Their kind support has given hope and joy to children who can look forward to starting the school year with new uniforms, just like their other schoolmates. We also had a lot of fun participating and learning in the workshop. This will surely help me to take good care of my new school uniform and other clothing” said Yamini A/P Jagen resident of Rumah Kebajikan Karunai Illam.

Experience Family Funtime At Sunway Lagoon Malaysia !

MR was request to go to Sunway Lagoon for water play. Okay! Let's visit to Sunway Lagoon as in there have water theme park, Wildlife Park, petting zoo, multitude of fantastic rides and attractions awaits, making the park the perfect place for a day's retreat together for our family.

MR be the little tour guide to plan which station should we go first. Ehm... he really pay attention to plan and look for the next destination. Next destination will be Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon. 

Young kids like MR was loves water play so much! It's a one-of-a-kind experience as everyone can explore the Asia's first Nickelodeon theme land, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon. There is a chance to meet the kids' favourite Nickelodeon characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and the Teenange Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) too.  

At 12noon, we are so happy to meet and greet with SpongeBob & Patrick then 12.30pm for Meet & Greet with TMNT at Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon. Of course, we grab the opportunity to have photo shooting and posing with Spongebob SquarePants and Ninja Turtles! They are sporting!

Water playtime! We have superb fun with the water slides at Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, slime time, pizza tube slide and so on. 

Some of the activities required at least 110cm or 120cm and above to join. Mouse mommy loves the safety features to ensure our safety in the park. The friendly staffs were adhering to the rules and talks nicely to the kids when they are not allow participating. At the same time, recommend an activity that suitable to the kids. Well-done staff!

We also build our sand castle at the Malaysia's Largest Man-made Sandy Surf Beach that churns out waves as high as 8-metres. Stretching over 13,000 square meters, it is capable of churning out perfectly shaped waves that will thrill the entire family. Such a fun family bonding time with my kids!

We are also enjoying a great ride and cinematic experience in Waterplexx 5D like no other, the ultimate multi-sensory journey filled with thrills and spills! We had been experience the wind, fog, mist, sprays, fountains, water jets, light, lasers, 3D visual, sound and movement while watching the 3D Monkey adventures. The show was really WOW us! 

Wildlife show was a great time for us. The well-trained animals with awesome performance were inspiring for us! A parrot can “spell” the word of horse. Hmm… MR got no excuse that he cannot spell a word correctly anymore. Must pay effort and experience him in study. 

MR and ZY got the chances to “touch and feel” the snake by themselves. Wow! Mouse mommy also does not dare to touch the snake. A good experience for these two brave kids! 

A special treat of my friend in Wildlife show to celebrate his birthday was having a “special snake treats” on his shoulder. The rangers were guide and help him to put the snakes, python and albino snakes on his shoulder. Shhh… my friend said it is a thrilled experience with snake – unforgettable birthday! 

MR loves petting zoo so much as in we can feed the turtle, rabbit and duck by ourselves. 

MR also became a fisherman to catch “longkang” fishes on his own. Not bad, he was managed to catch some fishes! Awesome! It's a happy day well spend with family at Sunway Lagoon Malaysia. 

The Amusement Park's World of Adventure served up sweet excitement for the young ones at Captain Kid's Playland & Candyland, its themed playgrounds are colorful places for children to have fun and let their imaginations run wild. Go for a delightful spin on the Apache Pots, or let the raging waters swirl in the whole family in the Grand Canyon River Rapids. More exciting photos can be click here to view. 

When the time is reaching home, MR request to visit again Sunway Lagoon especially the petting zoo, Wildlife Park and Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon. Hmm… at nighttime, MR has a sweet night with happy experience together with mouse mommy. Love the happy family bonding time together!
