Hada Labo in collaboration with Taiwanese skincare guru Liu Yen has once again hosted its beauty talk show in Malaysia; this time featuring local celebrities namely Jojo Goh, Emily Chan, Carol Ong and Jeffrey Cheng. 

Held live for the first time in Malaysia, this unique beauty talk show was entertaining yet educational with interactive discussion on stage. Liu Yen who led the discussion, unlocked the secret to the celebrities’ glowing youthful skin which is hydration. That was the one thing the celebrities had in common in their skincare routine and daily maintenance. It is evident that beauty begins skin deep and keeping the skin hydrates the first step to achieving flawless, glowing and youthful-looking skin. 

While it is commonly agreed that looking after the skin helps improve one’s overall complexion, many seem to have overlooked the importance of incorporating proper hydration as part of their skincare routine. When the skin is left exposed to UV, dry weather or even the air conditioning without proper hydration, the skin starts to feel dry and tight. By placing emphasis on hydration and using the right hydrating product, not only does the skin appear supple and radiant, skin problems would also be reduced.

Besides that, Taiwanese skincare guru Liu Yen also has a skincare workshop with the Watsons shoppers. Liu Yen was emphasizing that the importance of cleaning properly the face before we apply Hada Labo lotion as in it unable to absorbs nicely into the skin. 

Step by step guidance was given and realtime hands on by ourselves using via Hada Labo range products. So thoughtful of the organiser has group us into the skin type that we are such as combination skin, dry skin, oily skin and sensitive skin. 

Mouse mommy was in combination skin group and provided Hada Labo mild peeling lotion, Hada Labo hydrating lotion (light), Hada Labo hydrating water gel and Hada Labo Air UV Fresh to try on. First of all, we need to clean up and wipe off the makeup via makeup remover till there is no more residue of makeup. 

After that, mouse mommy put on Hada Labo hydrating lotion (light) on a cotton and gently wipe, pat and leave it on the face for about 30 seconds. This will maximize usage and benefits from the Hada Labo lotion without waste. Awesome tips from Guru Liu Yen!

After that, we put on a thick layer of Hada Labo hydrating water gel, which is H20 in solid form that able to use it as SOS for our dehydrated skin for about 20 minute. It would be greatly helpful especially in our hot and humid weather in Malaysia. It suitable to use for oily and combination skin type. 

Lastly, we apply Hada Labo Air UV Fresh with SPF 50 to protect our skin from background radical exposure. 

A practical and useful Hada Labo workshop that was able to remind me the proper steps to keep our skin clean and healthy. Most importantly is to get the correct way in facial cleaning in order the good Hada Labo lotion able to absorb deep into the skin. Mother is always The Best! My lovely mother always cares for us whenever we need help and guidance. Never fail!

MCAT Box Office Sdn Bhd (MBO Cinemas) has appointed Coca-Cola Malaysia under a new beverage concession agreement that will feature a completely new range of drinks choices to quench the thirst of cinemagoers at its 27 cinemas across the country.

MBO Cinemas is the third largest cinema chain in Malaysia, with 27 locations and 213 screens nationwide that offers special hall such as BIG SCREEN, KECIL, MX4D and PREMIER to cater to all kinds of cinemagoers from the discerning and adventurous to couple and family with young children. Mouse mommy loves to bring along kids to watch movie in MBO KECIL, sofa bed and bean seatings that complete with playground for our kids while enjoy the movie. “The concession stand is where the immersive cinema experience all begins and we are proud to be able to improve and enhance the experience for MBO cinemagoers now with a range of icy cold beverages from Coca-Cola to go with the fresh popcorn and snacks. I would like to compliment MBO on its excellent casting decision in choosing Coca-Cola Malaysia as its co-star,” said McGeown.

McGeown said the partnership with MBO is part of Coca-Cola’s continued commitment to the market and its customers in Malaysia, where the Company has already invested over RM1 billion since 2010 and has last year announced an additional investment of RM500 million.

Fun-Filled School Holiday With Nickelodeon Jr. At Sunway Pyramid

This school holidays from 9 – 25 March 2018, a wide variety of kid-friendly activities and fun awaits the whole family to come and play with Nickelodeon at Sunway Pyramid, LG2 Blue Concourse!

Our kids can experience Malaysia’s first Nickelodeon Playland which features three well-loved Nick Jr. characters:  Shimmer and Shine, Paw Patrol, and Blaze and the Monster Machines.

Want to be a part of Shimmer and Shine’s magical genie world? For the first time in Malaysia, fans can meet and greet the twin genies-in-training at the concourse from 16 – 18 March, and take part in fun workshops held throughout the month.

Kids can also join Paw Patrol in their mission to keep a lookout for trouble at the interactive Paw Tower! Simply climb up the steps and lookout from the top, then take slide down into a cushiony foam pit! Gimme, gimme, gimme some speed with Blaze and the Monster Machines at the Kiddie Car Ride area. Hop in and ride like Blaze and his buddies around the race track, open for kids aged 3 to 7.

Female Entrepreneurs Thriving on 11street E-Commerce

11street, Malaysia’s number two online marketplace, today announced that in 2017, 56% of its registered sellers were women’ selling products across various categories. This data was revealed in conjunction with International Women’s Day. 

CEO of 11street, Hoseok Kim said: “Online shopping has proven to be a boon for female entrepreneurs and they are thriving in the e-commerce industry. The top category with the highest number of registered female sellers is in the health & beauty segment. 30% of the female entrepreneurs on 11street are selling cosmetics, fragrance, dietary supplements & tools, skin & personal care items online.” 

The platform that first launched in Malaysia in 2015 has had a fierce vision to help sellers reach their full potential, particularly with female entrepreneurs through its seller development programs and the 11street Academy. 

Agnes Chua from JOCOM who has an online grocer app on 11street has enjoyed a 300% growth since joining 11street. JOCOM is an integrated solution that connects rural farmers, traders and vendors with consumers via e-commerce. She started a business in e-commerce to allow herself more flexibility; a factor that is especially crucial to those balancing motherhood and other familial responsibilities, in addition to the advantage of being one’s own boss, as well as lower costs than starting a brick and mortar business. With support from 11street, Agnes has started to see the fruits of her labour come to life with the success that JOCOM is enjoying “Rather than competing with each other, why don’t we collaborate and forge a stronger outcome together?” she said. 

Hoseok Kim added, “On average, 11street’s sellers have witnessed an increase in sales revenue by 15% to 20% within six months of completing the courses under the 11street Academy, the nation’s first certified e-commerce certification platform. Many of the women entrepreneurs have outperformed the average benchmark, and some have even doubled or tripled their sales performance.” 

In addition, 11street saw 7% of its female sellers tapping into the categories of large electronic appliances, camera, smartwatches & wearables, audio & gaming and home improvement. One notable female entrepreneur who has definitely broken the gender stereotypes of women in e-commerce industry is Chief Operating Officer of IT Comp, Sharon Goh. Interestingly, despite not having a background in IT, Sharon was savvy enough to foresee that e-commerce was the future trend and hopped onto the bandwagon. 

In 2015, Sharon and IT Comp joined forces with 11street, a partnership that eventually helped her become one of the top players in a typically male-dominated category of sales on 11street’s marketplace: Mobile, IT & and Electronics.

Director of the N4 Camera Store Sdn Bhd, Ong Mei Jye also spoke about how e-commerce changed her business and her life. “I have found greater opportunities in providing consumer digital products and services online, like a steadier growth and wider possibilities at the lowest cost. By partnering with online marketplaces, including 11street, the N4 Camera Store has successfully achieved a turnover of 20% in our group business and I am positive to see more growth in the e-commerce sector,” Ong said.
