Monash University Malaysia Celebrating 20 Years!


Monash Malaysia kicked off its 20th year celebration with a heart thumping, groovy party. There were balloons, party hats, face-painting, and henna art, as well as delicious food served up by local chefs. Satay-in-a-cup was a hit among the adults while the children satisfied their sweets craving with fluffy cotton candy.


Mouse mommy and family were enjoying the Monash University family day and 20th Anniversary Celebration so much!

Happy birthday, Monash! It’s been a wonderful 20 years and we are going to have a wonderful next 20 years. Happy birthday to everyone who has contributed to Monash University here in Malaysia,” said President and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andrew Walker, as he welcomed everyone.


The 1Malaysia Drum Symphony set the mood for the evening with its amazing fusion of Malay, Chinese and Indian drums. Keeping up the beat, was the main highlight of the night, SonaOne, a popular homegrown singer-songwriter and rapper, who got the crowd screaming and bopping along to his tunes.


Fantastic music throughout the night! Happy to be there to celebrate together! Happy 20th Anniversary Monash Malaysia!




Spinning foot tapping and dance inducing hit after hit was DJ Bate, who had everyone grooving late into the evening.


Monash University Malaysia 20th anniversary celebration was definitely one to remember! It wasn't just about the fantastic performances, delicious food and fun activities, but the opportunity to enjoy it all with the students, staff, alumni, media and members of the local community.

  1. We hung out at this place in evening last week before heading out to our next destination. While we were at Chicago event venues we found the service to be quick and attentive. Probably because it was early on a Friday and it was still kind of empty.
